The contents controller(120) distinguish the terminal corresponding to the read program setting information as described above. The contents controller offers the received broadcasting contents as described above to the identified terminal.

PURPOSE: A channel map providing method and a system thereof are provided to offer broadcasting contents according to the channel map by constituting a customized channel map based on the property of space where a terminal is installed and an audience object. CONSTITUTION: An audience object determining part(120) determines an audience object in a space where a terminal is installed. A channel map forming part(130) constitutes the channel map in consideration of the audience object. A channel map providing part(140) provides the broadcasting contents according to the channel map to the terminal by being connected to a watching request. The audience object determining part confirms the use of the space and estimates the audience object located in the space based on the identified use.

A cable modem and a data receiving method thereof are provided to control the repetitive reception of the same DSG data and stably receive the DSG data by making DSG(DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) Set-top box Gateway) data received through only a designated channel. A downlink channel searcher(100) searches a downlink channel and then receives the whole channel information message through the searched downlink channel. If the message is valid, a downlink channel searcher unit receives an additional broadcasting data information message. A channel information processor(200) receives additional broadcasting data by using the additional broadcasting data information message. A channel manager(400) stores and manages primary data receiving channels which can receive the whole channel information message and additional broadcasting data.

PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting and receiving digital cable broadcasting information are provided to process service information among messages, which are transmitted to a receiver through out-of-band from a head end, more rapidly than other messages. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting and receiving digital cable broadcasting information includes a head end module(10) and a reception module. The head end module gives packet identifier numbers limited within a predetermined packet identifier number range to tables on which data is loaded using MPEG transmission technique, and constructs transmission packets to transmit the packets. The reception module receives the transmission packets from the head end module and checks the packet identifier numbers to judge whether or not service information is included in the packets, and decides packet processing according to the judged result.

The present invention relates to an ultra high definition (UHD) terrestrial broadcast re-transmitting device capable of re-transmitting terrestrial live broadcast data corresponding to low-definition UHD image by converting the same into the high-definition UHD image as a viewer selects through a cable broadcast network. The present invention comprises: a terrestrial live broadcast data provision unit for providing terrestrial live broadcast data through a cable broadcast network; an additional data provision unit for providing additional data; a transmission unit for transmitting the terrestrial live broadcast data and additional data; and a selection unit for selecting either the terrestrial live broadcast data, additional data or both of them. The terrestrial live broadcast data is the low-definition UHD image. The additional data is either the high-definition UHD image or additional bit number or frame per second number capable of producing the high-definition UHD image through combination with the terrestrial live broadcast data.
