Abstract: 본 발명은 특히 스마트 카드를 사용하여 사용자 편의성을 극대화하고 충분한 보안 수준을 유지할 수 있는 디지털 콘텐츠의 배포 방법 및 이에 사용되는 콘텐츠 실행 디바이스에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 콘텐츠 실행 디바이스는, 콘텐츠를 실행하는데 필요한 툴들이 저장된 독립 인증 수단; 접속된 독립 인증 수단와 방송 서버간의 사용자 인증을 위한 채널을 제공하기 위한 인증지원모듈; 상기 접속된 접속된 독립 인증 수단에 저장된 툴들을 호출하기 위한 툴 에이전트; 및 상기 방송 서버로부터 입력받은 콘텐츠 데이터를 실행시키기 위한 콘텐츠 실행부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명의 콘텐츠 권한 관리 시스템에 포함되는 콘텐츠 실행 디바이스에 스마트 카드를 사용자 인증 및/또는 콘텐츠 재생용 툴 관리 용도로 적용하는데, 이에 따라 사용자는 별도의 조치 없이 스마트 카드만을 바꿔 끼움으로서, 새로운 콘텐츠 실행 디바이스에서 자신에게 라이센스가 부여된 콘텐츠를 자유롭게 실행시키는 편의를 부여하는 효과가 있다. 즉, 본 발명에 따르면 사용자는 상이한 브로드캐스터들의 콘텐트들을 효율적으로 이용 가능하게 된다.

3. 발명의 해결 방법의 요지
본 발명은, 방송 서버에서의 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 보호 장치에 있어서, 디지털 방송 컨텐츠에 대한 저장 및 재사용 제어정보를 입력받기 위한 정보입력수단; 저장제어정보, 유지기간정보를 포함시켜 상기 저장 제어정보를 프로그램맵테이블(PMT) 서술자(descriptor)로 구성하기 위한 저장 제어정보 생성수단; 컨텐츠 정보, 유통 관리 서버 정보를 포함시켜 상기 재사용 제어정보를 PMT 서술자(descriptor)로 구성하기 위한 재사용 제어정보 생성수단; 및 상기 저장 제어정보 및 재사용 제어정보 PMT 서술자로 PMT를 구성하기 위한 PMT 생성수단을 포함함.
