Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for detecting and recognizing an object using a vector histogram based on a local binary pattern. The apparatus of detecting and recognizing an object using the local binary pattern comprises: a feature map creator configured to extract an object area in which a moving object exists from an input image, to create the local binary pattern by designating a local area in the object area, and to create a vector component map including information on magnitude vector components and direction vector components using the local binary pattern; a feature map configuring unit configured to divide the object area into a plurality of blocks, and to create a feature vector map through a histogram using the vector component map in a unit of the block; and an object detector configured to detect and classify the moving object based on the feature vector map. Accordingly, it is possible to reliably detect the moving object from the input image and classify the detected moving object.

Disclosed are a method for optimizing the algorithm of a battery management system and an apparatus therefor. The method for optimizing the algorithm of the battery management system according to the present invention includes the steps of: loading a driving feature on a database; performing battery cell balancing to optimize the state of health (SOH) of a battery by performing a simulation using BMS algorithms applying the change of electric energy corresponding to the driving feature; and selecting the BMS algorithm in consideration of the driving feature based on the simulation result.

Disclosed are a terminal apparatus for controlling medical equipment based on voice recognition and a method for the same. A terminal apparatus for controlling medical equipment according to the present invention includes a microphone part which receives a control command by the voice input of a user; a learning part which learns commands to be used for the control of medical equipment and generates a voice pattern; a recognition part which performs voice recognition by comparing the control command by the voice input with the voice pattern; and a control part which generates a control signal for controlling the medical equipment according to the result of the voice recognition.

PURPOSE: A 3d orthogonal frequency division multiplex apparatus is provided to form 16 signal constellation which can assign 4 bit in each sub channel of the orthogonal frequency division multiplex by applying the 3D signal constellation having the form basic without use of the complex equation. CONSTITUTION: A serial and parallel converter(200) parallelizes the serial input signal to N. A 3D signal mapping part(210) respectively maps the input signals of N paralleled to the 3D coordinate of the cube-in-cube type signal constellation. A two dimension reverse Furier transform(220) implements the inverse Fourier transform by generating two dimension matrix based on the mapped 3D coordinate.

PURPOSE: A wireless USB adapter apparatus and a near-field wireless service method using the same are provided to secure the mobility, performance and service quality of a wireless USB device by preventing service quality degradation and coverage limitation in a UWB(Ultra Wideband) based wireless USB service environment. CONSTITUTION: A wireless USB(Universal Serial Bus) device controller(210) sets up the wireless connection between a wireless USB adaptor(200) and a wireless USB host(100), and registers the wireless adaptor device to the wireless USB host. A wireless USB host control unit(240) recognizes a wireless USB device(300), and performs the connection between the recognized USB device and the wireless USB host. A wireless USB device manager(230) sets up a remote route between the wireless USB device and the wireless USB host. A wireless USB information converter(220) transmits and receives data through the remote route between the wireless USB device and the wireless USB host.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for an OFDM based on 3d signal constellation are provided to improve signal-noise ratio by using 3D signal constellation as the signal mapping part. CONSTITUTION: A signal mapping unit converts the serial input signal into N parallel signals. The signal mapping unit maps the parallel input signals with 3D coordinate of N of the distributed the paralleled input signal at a signal constellation consisting of signaling points. A conversion unit generates two dimension matrices based on mapped N 3D coordinates. An inverse fast Fourier transform unit performs two dimension inverse fast Fourier transform based on 3D coordinate of N converted into two dimension matrices.
