PURPOSE: A quality measuring system of several class images and system thereof are provided to evaluate the image quality of multiple layers based on a quality measuring result of each layer. CONSTITUTION: A bitstream extraction unit(110) separates an inputted multi-level image into a base layer bitstream and an enhanced layer bitstream. A base layer quality measuring unit(120) generates image quality measuring result information of a base layer image. An enhanced layer quality measuring unit(130) generates image quality measuring result information. An integrated quality evaluation unit(140) evaluates the effective quality of the several class images.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and a device for performing transmission control are provided to externally control a transmission function about arbitrary network device through remote user interface based on telnet protocol. CONSTITUTION: A protocol processing unit(210) extracts transmission control information and control method by inputted protocol. A adaption unit(220) performs a conversion to command according to the transmission control information and the control method. The adaption unit outputs execution result of a network device to the protocol processing unit. The command can be interpreted by the network device. A communication unit(230) transmits and receives the command and the performance result through connection with the network device.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A system message transmitting method in a high-speed router is provided to simultaneously output a system message including a system failure or a system state change to each operating terminal, so that the operating terminals can input/output an operator command and immediately perceive the system failure or the system state change. CONSTITUTION: A system message control process generates a socket for interfacing with operator terminal control processes(300), and sets local address information in the generated socket, so that the socket listens for a connection of an operator terminal(310). The system message control process initializes an operator terminal connection information table, and initializes a connection counter value showing the number of operator terminals to '0'(320), then enters a standby state for receiving operator terminal connection information or system information(330). If the operator terminal connection information is received(340), the system message control process checks whether the received connection information is a connection request(350). If so, the process generates a new socket(360) to add the new socket to the terminal connection information table(370), and increases the connection counter value by '1'(380).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for adding or deleting line card and line interface information on on-line in a distributed processing high-speed router is provided to mount a line card on on-line without stopping the service of a system, install a corresponding line interface, and remove the corresponding line interface for dismounting the line card. CONSTITUTION: If an operator inputs a line card addition command in a standby state and a terminal of the operator receives the line card addition command(S403), the terminal checks whether line card information requested by the operator previously exists in a database(S404). If a line card does not exist, the terminal adds line card addition information requested by the operator in the database(S405). The terminal outputs that the addition of the line card is normal for informing the operator that the line card addition command is normally performed(S406). If the operator confirms that the addition of the line card is normal, the operator mounts the line card on a system(S407). The operator loads a program necessary for operation and confirms whether the line card is normally operated(S408).

PURPOSE: A method for collecting statistical information in a fast router system is provided to collect and report relevant information when a system operator or a network manager requests GE(Gigabit Ethernet) ethernet interface statistical information, in a distributed processing fast router system that a control processor exists in the inside of each GE interface. CONSTITUTION: If a system is started, the system executes data initialization for GE interface statistical collection(S01) and enters an idle state(S02). If a GE interface statistical collection command is received through an operator terminal(S03), the system analyzes a GE card and a port number(S04), sets the frequency of the output of statistical information and the period of output time(S05), and judges what type of data the operator wants to collect(S06). If the data type is Tx(Transmit), the system collects transmitting counter information(S07). If the data type is Rx(Receive), the system collects receiving counter information(S08). In case that the data type is All, the system collects both transmitting counter information and receiving counter information(S09,S10). Then the system formats the collected data properly(S11) and outputs a GE interface statistical collection result to the operator(S12).

PURPOSE: A line interface statistics collecting method in a distributed processing high speed router is provided to quickly and effectively perform a line interface statistics collection request received from an operator terminal and a network management system by using a high speed router including line cards with a control processor, and stably operate the high speed router. CONSTITUTION: A data is initialized to collect a line interface statistics(S301) and comes in a standby state to wait for a statistics collection request from an operator terminal or a network management system(S302). When the line interface statistics collection request is received from the operator terminal(S303), a line card and a port number requested by the operator terminal are analyzed(S304), and a related transmission and reception counter information desired to be collected by the operator terminal is collected from control processors of the obtained line card(S305). The collected counter information is formatted to a form to be outputted to the operator terminal(S306), and the line interface statistics collection result is provided to the operator terminal(S307). When a line interface statistics collection request is received from the network management system, that is, when a message for an MIB(management information base) object data searching request is received(S308), the received message is analyzed and a PDU(Protocol Data Unit) is extracted(S309), and the requested statistics MIB is searched(S310). A related transmission and reception counter information is collected by using the searched information(S311), and the collected related transmission and reception counter information is combined(S312). The combined related transmission and reception counter information is converted into an MIB object information requested by the network management system and a PDU to be used when responding to the network management system is generated(S313). The MIB object data searching result using the generated PDU is provided to the network management system(S314).

PURPOSE: A method for monitoring traffic is provided to process traffic load of an exchange D channel packet in an always on/dynamic ISDN(AO/DI) system. CONSTITUTION: A system is started and a periodical timer for monitoring D channel packet traffic is registered and a traffic overload flag is set in false(401), a monitoring working waiting status is started(402). If periodical sensing data are activated in the waiting status, it is judged whether more than 90% of a queue is occupied by checking a size of a packet stocked in a packet queue(403). If more than 90% of a queue of the packet is occupied, it is checked whether an overload flag is the false(404). If an overload flag is the false, the flag is set as the true(405) and traffic overload information is transmitted(406). If an overload flag is not the false, a monitoring waiting status is started. If more than 90% of a queue of the packet is not occupied, it is checked whether the overload flag is the true(407). If the overload flag is the true, the flag is set as the false(408) and traffic overload information is transmitted(409). If an overload flag is not the true, the monitoring waiting status is started. If the traffic overload information is received(410), member information of the corresponding board is collected(411), and it is judged whether the status is an overload status. If an overload status is generated, the generation of the traffic overload is informed to an operator. If an overload status is released, the releasing of the traffic overload is informed to an operator(412), and the monitoring waiting status is started(402).
