Abstract:
Disclosed are a fault recovery method in a multi-layer network and an apparatus thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the fault recovery method comprises the steps of: acquiring setting information of a lower layer backup path through a signaling message which is used to set a label-based path; setting the lower layer backup path on the basis of the obtained setting information of the lower layer backup path; and performing protection switching via the lower layer backup path set when a fault is detected in the lower layer.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A QoS routing method between domains using BGP information is provided to request QoS path calculation to a next AS in advance before the QoS path calculation. CONSTITUTION: An initial source BGP(Bolder Gateway Protocol) router receives a QoS(Quality of Service) path calculation request message(100). The source BGP router transmits the QoS path calculation request message to a related BGP router(110). The source BGP router calculates the QoS path of a related AS(Autonomous System)(120). The source BGP router receives the QoS path calculation result value of the AS from the BGP router(130). The source BGP router establishes the QoS path(140).

PURPOSE: A forwarding virtualizing method about a router is provided to improve a phenomenon that a speed of the router is reduced due to a plurality of operating systems loaded on the top of hypervisor, and to maintain a high processing speed of the router. CONSTITUTION: A forwarding about a forward resource is made. The resource is classified with a packet according to each operating system(105). The latency in the packet is set up. A packet scheduling is set according to each packet. The resource which is para-virtualized by a hypervisor(103) is supplied according to the schedule set by the operating system.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing mobility to an MN in a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) and a method therefor are provided to configure a new CoA previously to be used in the MN after the MN moves to a new AP to provide IP mobility with the minimum handover latency and packet loss, thereby improving the service quality of the mobile terminal. A method for providing mobility of to an MN(Mobile Node)(201) comprises the following steps of: registering the MAC(Media Access Control) address and IP(Internet Protocol) address of an AP(Access Point)(212), the IP address and layer2 information of an AR(Access Router)(213) to which the AP belongs(S201); transmitting a RADIUS access request message including the MAC address of a new AP(222), which the MN detects newly, to a RADIUS server(204) and acquire the IP address of a new AR(223) to which the new AP belongs(S208,S209); transmitting an AR information request message for requiring the IP prefix information of the new AR, which the new AR distributes, to the new AR(S210); constructing an AR cache table storing the IP prefix information of the new AR to which the new AP belongs to(S212); and configuring a new CoA(Care of Address) previously which is to be used in the MN after the MN moves to the new AP on the basis of the IP prefix information acquired from the new AR(S214).
Abstract:
A method for establishing an L3(layer-3) handover path for flow-based QoS assurance in a mobile IPv6 network is provided to offer an IPv6-based L3 handover service with a guarantee of flow-based QoS even though a mobile terminal moves from a home network to another visited network. A mobile terminal, which has moved to a visited network, acquires a CoA(Care of Address), a new address in the visited network(S530). In order to inform a home agent, which stores the location information of the mobile terminal, of the CoA, the mobile terminal adds a hop-by-hop extended header to a BU(Binding Update) message and transmits it. An access router in the visited network compares the session flow information contained in the hop-by-hop extended header with its own flow cache(S540). If matched, the access router transmits the BU message to a BR(Boundary Router)(S541). Based on the session flow information of the hop-by-hop extended header, the BR confirms whether flow-based QoS can be provided(S550). If resources to provide flow-based QoS are available, the BR constructs its own session flow cache and transmits the BU message to the next router(S551). The next router also confirms whether flow-based QoS can be provided(S560,S570,S580). If so, the next router constructs its own session flow cache and transmits the BU message to the next router(S561,S571,S581). If the BU message is delivered to the home agent, the home agent confirms whether flow-based QoS can be provided(S590). If so, the home agent executes L3 handover processing procedures using the additional information contained int the BU message(S591).
