Abstract: An emergency light auto-blinking device and a control method thereof are provided to give a back vehicle driver a chance to exactly react a sudden braking of a front vehicle by blinking an emergency light only in the sudden braking, caused by a dangerous situation, through using an optical fiber to sense a certain signal following operation of a brake pedal and comparing detected data with a preset value and to thereby prevent an accident. An emergency light auto-blinking device comprises a rod(3) connected with a brake pedal to be interlocked by operation of the brake pedal and composed of plural through-holes(4) formed at regular intervals in a longitudinal direction; an optical fiber(5) placed on both sides of the through-holes of the rod and composed of one end connected to a light emitting diode(6) and the other end connected to a light transistor(7); an amplifier(8) and a signal processing unit(9) amplifying/processing pulse signals generated by detecting light pulse according to a motion of the rod; and a main control unit(10) regulating blinking or not of an emergency light(11) through the pulse signals from the signal processing unit and values detected by a speed sensor and a throttle position sensor.
