    Abstract: 1,139,919. Urea derivatives. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 16 May, 1966 [20 May, 1965], No. 21615/66. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] The invention relates to compounds of the formula in which R 1 is a methyl, methoxyl or 1-methyl- 2-propinyl radical and the group R-NH and is derived from 2-amino-[3,2,1]-octanes. Compounds claimed per se are 1-(2-bicyclo-[3,2,1]- octyl) - 3,3 - dimethylurea; 1 - (2 - bicyolo- [3,2,1] - octyl) - 3 - methyl - 3 - (1 1 methyl- 2 1 - propinyl) - urea; 1 - (2 - bicyclo - [3,2,1]- octyl) - 3 - methyl - 3 - methoxyurea. The compounds may be prepared by reacting a 2- hydroxymethyl bicyclo -[2,2,1]-heptane with a nitrile and hydrolysing the resulting bicyclo- [32,1]-octyl amide-2 and reacting the resulting 2-amino bicyclo-[3,2,1]-octane with either (a) N-dimethyl, N-methyl-N-methoxyl or N- methyl - N - (1 - methyl - 2 - propinyl) - carbamyl halides or carbamic esters, or with (b) phosgene to the corresponding isocyanates or carbamyl chlorides followed by further reaction with dimethylamine, methyl methoxylamine or methyl-(1-methyl-2-propinyl)-amine.
