An electrodeposition method is described where a conductive substrate is immersed in an electrodeposition coating composition comprising, in an aqueous medium: A) a resin having a plurality of acid-salted primary amine groups, and B) a curing agent having a plurality of cyclic carbonate groups.
Abstract:
A flexible open-cell polyurethane is described that is the reaction product of a mixture comprising (a) a polyisocyanate component comprising monomeric or polymeric MDI, and (b) a polyol component having at least 50 % of its OH functional groups as secondary OH groups.
Abstract:
A coating composition is described comprising a polymer resin binder and optically variable thin film dichroic pigment flakes. The pigment flakes have a multilayer thin film interference structure comprising a metal reflector layer having first and second parallel planar surfaces and, disposed on at least one of said first and second planar surfaces, at least one transparent dielectric layer. The coating composition further comprises an interference mica pigment having an interference color that is the same as one of the dichroic colors of the optically variable thin film pigment. This coating composition can be used to prepare a variety of coatings, especially color-plus-clear composite coatings such as those used in the automative industry.

Abstract:
A coating composition comprises a polymer which is comprised of the residue of a sterically-hindered monomer. The presence of this sterically-hindered monomer results in the production of a coating which is resistant to environmental etching.
Abstract:
Fiber-reinforced and non-reinforced thermoplastic honeycomb is prepared in a continuous manner one half cell at a time with the aid of formers (1, 4) by laying down a corrugated web of thermoplastic, selectively fusing the node-antinode demes by means of a toothed roller (9), retracting the lowermost set of formers (1) through the use of linear bearings (7) attached to pillar blocks (8), raising the lowermost formers by means of pistons (6) an amount at least equal to the thickness of the fused node-antinode surface, and repeating the process until a honeycomb of the desired depth is prepared. Shaped honeycomb parts are prepared wherein the webs of fiber-reinforced or non-reinforced thermoplastic are slit in a predetermined manner prior to laying on the formers such that the finished honeycomb may be separated by hand into parts having a predetermined geometry.
Abstract:
A high density polyurethane foam composition which exhibits low smoke upon combustion is the reaction product of a reaction of a resin blend and an isocyanate in the presence of reduced levels of melamine as a flame retardant.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A silane-capped polyurethane block copolymer comprising at least one polyester block and at least one polyacrylate block is disclosed. The copolymer can be used in coatings, and is particularly useful as a primer coating, especially as a primer for non-porous surfaces to which adhesives will be applied.
