    Abstract: HEAVY DUTY RADIAL TIRE A heavy duty radial tire includes at least one radial carcass extending from one bead portion to the other bead portion and using inextensible cords and a belt arranged outwardly of the radial carcass for reinforcing a tread of the tire. The tire comprises, during expanding of the tire from 5% to 100% of a normal inner pressure, a first profile portion expanding radially outwardly in a tread zone, a second profile portion depressing axially inwardly of the tire in a radially outer zone of a sidewall from one end of said tread to a tire maximum width position when filled with the normal inner pressure, and a third profile portion expanding axially outwardly of the tire in a radially inner zone of the sidewall from the tire maximum width position when filled with the normal inner pressure to a parting point of the sidewall from the rim, thereby properly distributing strains occurring in the tire in filling with the normal inner pressure. Moreover, a carcass profile in the radial cross-sections of the tire filled with an inner pressure 5% of the normal inner pressure and under no load condition is a composite curve smoothly passing through points B, A and D, where the point A is an intersection of a carcass line C of the carcass profile and a tangent mm' in a radial direction to the carcass line at a carcass line maximum width position and the points B and C are intersections of the carcass line C and a perpendicular pp' to a bead based line RL, the perpendicular pp' spaced apart from an equatorial plane M of the tire by a distance of 0.45 times a rim width, and the carcass profile fulfills three relations relative to a maximum distance H of the carcass line C from the bead base line RL with respect to maximum distance deviated from an equilibrium configuration curve N.

The cross belt layer structure is comprised of at least two organic fiber cord layers, the cords of which layers being crossed with each other, and the circumferential belt layer structure is comprised of at least two organic fiber cord layers in such a manner that the number of cross belt layers is made larger at both side regions of the tread than at the central region thereof and the number of circumferential belt layers is made larger at the central region than at both side regions.

    Abstract: A high internal pressure heavy duty pneumatic radial tire comprises a tire body reinforcement consisting of at least one inner carcass (3a) and least one outer carcass (3b). The inner carcass is turned up around a pair of bead cores (2) in a toroidal fashion axially from the inside to the outside of the tire and the outer carcass wraps an outer periphery of the inner carcass including turn-up portions thereof, and extends at least up to immediately under the bead cores. A ratio B/A is not less than 1.8, wherein A is a distance from an outer contour line of the tire to a center of the inner carcass positioned axially inside as viewed in a tire axial section, the distance being measured along a normal "n", and B is a distance from the outer contour line of the outer skin of the tire body at the bead portion to the center of the inner carcass positioned axially inside, the distance being measured on a reference line "m" passing through the center of the bead core in parallel with a rotary axis of the tire. Preferably the ratio C/D, C and D being as shown in Fig 1, is not more than 2.3.

    Abstract: A high inner pressure heavy duty pneumatic radial tire includes a carcass of a plurality of plies made of laminated organic fiber cord layers of which one ply is turned up about bead cores, and a belt made of a plurality of laminated cord reinforcing layers. The belt includes at least one set of packing structural reinforcing layers. Each of the packing structrure reinforcing layers includes cord reinforcing layers wider than a width of the arranged belt and having width edges folded inwardly to form folded layers and further cord reinforcing layers having widths as cut corresponding to inner widths of the folded layers and surrounded by the folded layers to form inner core reinforcing layers. The further core reinforcing layers are higher in circumferential rigidity than the first mentioned core reinforcing layers. Cords of the first mentioned cord reinforcing layers and the further core reinforcing layers are made of material substantially the same at least in modulus of elasticity.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a separation trouble inside a bead part from being generated, so as to enhance durability of the bead part. SOLUTION: A carcass layer 16 winds a terminal part 16C in along an outer circumference of a bead core 12 substantially free from generation of deformation at the time of loaded rotation to prevent a separation trouble of rubber which starts at the terminal part 16C as a start point. In a bead reinforcing layer 18, a tangential line L3 connected to a central line of the layer 18 in a terminal part 18B in a tire-axis-directional outside of the layer 18 is set in parallel to a tangential line L2 connected to a central line of a body part 16A in an intersection point D of a perpendicular L1 extended from a terminal part 18B toward the body part 16A of the carcass layer 16 intersected with the central line of the body part 16A. Since a compressive direction at the time of loaded rotation comes to a diagonal direction with respect to a code of the terminal part 18B, generation of a compressive strain generated in the part 18B is moderated to prevent separation from being generated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a new tire structure which avoids separation to be caused in the vicinity of a hoop material and can prevent the development of outer damage toward the hoop material in the case of a tire provided with the hoop material on the tire diametric inside of an annular recessed portion. CONSTITUTION:The tire possesses a section which contains the rotary axis of the tire at which an annular recessed portion 6 made up by winding peripherally a hoop material 3 to reduce partially the diameter of the crown portion of a carcass 1 and depressing a tread surface portion which confronts the above hoop material toward the inside of a tire diametrical direction is provided along a tread peripheral line. As for the contour line of the carcass 1 divided into two mountains by the tightening of the hoop material 3, each mountain is made to be a crown portion, and when a single tire containing this crown portion and existing side walls is each imagined, the carcass contour lines of respective imagined tires that adjoin mutually with the annular recessed portion 6 interposed, become shapes that intersect mutually or come into contact with each other on the tire diametrical inside of the annular recessed portion 6, and the thickness (h) of rubber that is embedded between the bottom surface of the annular recessed portion 6 and the hoop material 3, is made thicker than the thickness (t) of tread rubber on the tire diametrical outside of a belt layer.
