Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a water-shielding polyurethane foam having water-shielding performance and low gas-permeability by using an epoxy(or methacryl)-modified organosilicone as a foam stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:The urethane foam is composed of (A) a polyhydroxyl compound, (B) an isocyanate, (C) a foaming agent, (D) a catalyst and (E) a foam stabilizer consisting of one or more silicones selected from epoxy-modified organosilicone and methacryl-modified organosilicone. The component E is e.g. a compound of the formula I [R1 is group of the formula II (A is group of the formula III; (n) is 1-10; (n') is 1-20; (a) and (b) are 1-50; the molar ratio of a/b is 3/1); (x) is 1-300; (y) is 1-25]. The amount of the component E is preferably 0.3-5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed sheet in which an aperture area is comparatively large and which is formed by uniformly arranging uniform foamed cells having no variation in size and shape and further to provide a metal porous body sheet which is made by using the foamed sheet, has no variation in size, shape and arrangement of the hole and is particularly useful as an electrode material for a high performance battery. SOLUTION: A foaming raw solution is foamed and molded in a bottomed cylindrical molding mold 1 and obtained columnar foamed block 3 is sliced in a side circumferential direction to form a sheet-like material 4. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellowing-resistant soft polyurethane foam having highly suppressed yellowing of the foam and resulting migration and discoloration by using a conventional versatile polyol component without using expensive aliphatic isocyanate as the isocyanate. SOLUTION: The invention provides a yellowing-resistant soft polyurethane foam obtained by foaming a polyurethane raw material containing a polyol component and an isocyanate, wherein the polyurethane raw material further contains urea. More excellent discoloration preventing effect is attained by using a polyether polyol having an ester bond in the polyol skeleton and containing a plurality of benzene rings in the polyol structure as the polyol component. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of testing precisely and easily a degree of discoloration in a resin caused by nitrogen oxides, with a reduced measuring dispersion and error. SOLUTION: The progress degree of discoloration in a resin test piece is analyzed by a color difference meter, after the test piece is exposed to nitrogen oxides of a prescribed concentration at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed time. In a favorable embodiment in the present invention, (i) an urethane foam test piece is set in the inside of a sealed container, (ii) nitrogen oxides of the prescribed concentration are supplied from a standard container to the sealed container by a prescribed amount to prepare a prescribed concentration of atmosphere, (iii) the urethane foam test piece is exposed to nitrogen oxides at the prescribed temperature for the prescribed time under the atmosphere, (iv) the urethane foam test piece is taken out thereafter from the sealed container, and (v) a change degree in a yellow index YI of the urethane foam test piece is analyzed by the color difference meter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyether polyurethane foam that is excellent in hydrolysis resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance and has a prolonged service life while on the other hand it has excellent properties similar to those of a polyester polyurethane foam in controllability of the cell, touch and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: The polyether polyurethane foam is produced by reacting a polyether polyol, a polyisocyanate, a foaming agent and a catalyst wherein two or more kinds of polyether polyols having different molecular weights are used. The polyether polyurethane foam having appearance, physical properties and touch similar to those of the polyester polyurethane foam can be attained by combining two or more kinds of polyether polyols having different molecular weights. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage flexible polyurethane foam capable of preventing stuffiness in the uses of beddings and clothes and capable of imparting a temperature-regulating function in uses of a sound absorbing material, a damping material and an impact absorbing packaging material for precision OA equipment or the like by imparting heat storage to the flexible polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: This heat storage flexible polyurethane foam is produced by impregnating flexible polyurethane foam with an impregnation liquid prepared by compounding heat storage particles with a binder resin. A polyurethane-based resin is used as the binder resin.
