    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve durability and reduce weight by forming a ply layer from the fiber made of aromatic polyamide represented by a specific formula and a covering rubber having the prescribed characteristics with a specific composition, in a radial tire for an aeroplane. CONSTITUTION:A ply layer is constituted by covering the cord prepared form the fiber made of the aromatic copolyamide consisting of the unit A represented by the prescribed formula I and the unit B represented by the formula II, by the coating rubber which is made by compounding resorcin in 2.4-4.5wt. parts and silica in 2-10wt. parts into 100wt. parts of the rubber composition consisting of natural rubber and the blend rubber of natural rubber and isoprene rubber and whose 100% modulus after vulcanization is set to 35-50kg/cm . With such constitution, durability can be improved, and weight can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To relax the compressive stress of a crown shoulder section in the cross-sectional direction by forming a stress relaxing groove between the respective ground contact ends under the normal operating load in a crown section and under the larger load than the normal operating load just by a specific rate. CONSTITUTION:At least two circumferential belt layers in are arranged the crown section of a tire 10 and the maximum width of these belt layers is set to the width of approximately 100-140% of the ground width under the normal operating conditions of the crown section. For example, the tire is provided with a carcass layer 11 made of cords arranged at a right angle with the circumferential direction and the belt structure 12 containing a number of circumferential belt layers made of cords arranged almost inparallel to the circumferential direction and a number of circumferential grooves 13 are formed on the ground contact surface of the crown section. In this case, a stress relaxing groove 16 stretching in the circumferential direction is formed between a ground contact end 14 under the normal operating load of the crown section and a ground contact end 15 under the load of approximately 150% of the normal operating load.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of bead section of a heavy duty pneumatic tire for air-craft, etc., by covering the fold-back end part of a carcass layer with two rubber cover layers having different elastic moduli which are lower in the inner one than in the outer one. CONSTITUTION:The fold-back part (a) of a carcass layer 1 made of aromatic polyamide cords 2 and a coating rubber 3 is covered with two layers of a first covering rubber 5 and a second covering rubber 6. The elastic modulus of the first covering rubber 5 is set at a value of 50 to 80% of that of the second covering rubber 6. Further, the second covering rubber 6 is arranged such that it completely wraps the outside of the first covering rubber 5. With this arrangement, the first covering rubber 5 serves as a shock damper for remarkably reducing the shear and deformation of the part between the carcass layer 1 and the covering rubber 5 as well as the boundary surface of fold-back end of the carcass layer, and the second covering rubber 6 follows up the defomation of a reinforcing layer on the carcass layer so that it serves as a reinforcing member for the carcass layer 1. Thus, if is possible to aim at enhancing the durability of bead section of a heavy duty pneumatic tire.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent cord confusion and shearing strain at the time of vulcanizing a belt by interposing a pair of space rubbers composed of extruded contours of hanging eyeblow-like shapes in their sections in an appointed range between master layers at both sides of a tread reinforcement layer and right under thereof, on an aircraft tire. CONSTITUTION:Space rubbers 9, 9' are arranged on surrounding a master layer 2a with rubber contours extruded in hanging eyebrow-like shapes in their sections on both sides of a helical reinforcement layer 2b arranged between mutual master layers 2a, and between the master layer 2a positioned just thereunder and the reinforcement layer. The space rubbers 9, 9' are in contact with the side edges of master layer 2a at the end parts of the eyebrow tail sides made to be thickened, and for intervenient lengths L measured from the side edges extending over a range of 10-30mm, an interlayer interval H between helically arranged cords neighboring to each other of the reinforcement layer 2b and a turn back strip of the master layer 2a is set in 1.9-4.4mm. According to this constitution, cord confusion and shearing strain of a belt in vulcanizing can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform rubber gauge around a bead core by preliminarily semivulcanizing or vulcanizing the outer surface of a cover rubber covering the periphery of the core in contact with plys prior to a green case manufacturing step. CONSTITUTION:A green tire 6 is charged in a mold of a tire molding vulcanizing machine, a shaping green tire 6 is strongly pressurized, the cover rubber 2 of a bead core 1 surrounded at its substantially half periphery with the winding region of a turn-up ply layer 7 is compressed during heating from a mold 4 to fluidize the rubber. However, since the rubber 2 of the core 1 is preliminarily semivulcanized or vulcanized on its outer surface opposed to the turnup ply of its carcass, even if it is effected by the shaping pressure in the mold 4 of a tire molding vulcanizing machine during heating, actual rubber fluidization does not occur in the rubber 2, and after the vulcanization is finished, the gage of the rubber 2 is uniformly obtained on the whole periphery of the core 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the fatigue resistance of a carcass ply and the bead durability by forming one part of a carcass in its rewound part to join a main unit carcass in a position of specific height when a tire is filled with air to the specified internal pressure CONSTITUTION:A tire, forming a carcass ply 1 from a ply consisting. of two sheets of cords arranged in the radial direction, mutually parallelly sets the cord of each ply. While the tire, winding plural main unit carcasses 2a, 2b respectively to a bead core 4, forms each rewound part carcasses 3a, 3b. Here the one rewound part carcass 3a joins the one main unit carcass 2a in a position in which radial height (h) measured from the center of the bead core 4 obtains a value 20% or less the height H of a tire road surface measured from the center of the bead core 4 when the tire is filled with air to the specified internal pressure. In this way, the tire reduces tensile distortion, generated when it is filled with air in a high pressure, in the terminal end part of the carcass.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a bead by constituting a subchafer from at least four cord layers provided with a plurality of inside and outside cord layers respectively and forming a triangle truss construction having nodes of three of four layers as apexes. CONSTITUTION:A tire is provided with a carcass 1 having a folded-back portion 2 turned back around a bead core 5, and main and subchafers 3, 4 are respective ly provided on the upper and lower portions of ply end 7 of the folded-back portion 2. Then, the subchafer 4 is constituted from at least 4 cord layers of at least two inside cord layers 4-1, 4-4 added to the outside cord layers 4-1, 4-2. The respective two of four outside and inside cord layers 4-3-4-4 sandwich respectively the meridian of tire and cross each other so that a triangle truss construction having nodes of three of four layers as apexes is formed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To aim at lightweightiness as well as to heighten a cord fatigue level and improve durability, by forming each cord available for belt cord ply and a carcass cord ply composed of plural layers each with the specified aromatic polyamide fiber.
    CONSTITUTION: This heavy-duty vehicle pneumatic tire is provided with a belt cored ply (belt) 1 consisting of plural layers disposing one continuous cord parallelly in the circumferential direction and a carcass cord ply (carcass) 2 consisting of plural cord layers disposed at a cord angle of 90W75° to the cord of the said ply 1. And, each cord used for the belt 1 and the carcass 2 is formed by an aromatic polyamide fiber composed of a copolymer between poly paraphenylenterephthalamide and poly 3,4'-diphenyletherterephthalamide. With this constitution, this tire is lightweight and its cord fatigue level is improvable, so that the promotion of radial-ply tire for heavy-duty vehicles of a superhigh speed electric car or the like.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve case durability and separation characteristics of the captioned tire for aircrafts and others by using high elastic factor aromatic polyamide fiber for the outer ply and by specifying ratios of elasticity factors of the inner and outer plies and gauge ratios between layers in the maximum curvature section. CONSTITUTION:Using low elasticity factor aromatic polyamide fibers for the inner ply cord and high elasticity factor polyamide fibers for the outer ply cord, ratio of elasticity factors E1/E0 between the both cords is made to be from 0.3-0.8. The gauge ratio d/l (d: cord diameter, l: gauge between cords) between layers in the maximum curvature section extending between the shoulder part and bead part under a condition of no load or no internal pressure is set to between 0.65-0.85. With this constitution, the case durability and the separation characteristics can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve separation resistance and partial wear resistance in a radial tire for an air plane, by setting a distance between cords of a circumferential belt layer in a central area smaller than that in both side areas. CONSTITUTION:The radial tire includes two carcass layers 11 and 12, four circumferential belt layers 21-24 and two oblique belt layers 31 and 32. A central area CW is set to about 85% of a ground contact width Tw of a tread 40 under load. A distance between cords of the circumferential belt layers 21-24 in the central area CW is set smaller than that in both side areas. For example, in at least the outermost circumferential belt layer 24, the distance between the cords in the central area is set to 1.4mm, and the distance between the cords in both side areas is set to 2.4mm. Thus, it is possible to improve separation resistance and partial wear resistance.
