    Abstract: PURPOSE: To recognize a service limit of a tire by specifying rupture strength of a circumferential directional belt layer, and forming a cord as a red system cord having specific chromaticity coordinates in a pneumatic radial tire having a tread part reinforced by a reinforcing belt composed of an inclining and circumferential directional belt layer. CONSTITUTION: A tread part 10 reinforced by a reinforcing belt 8 is provided on the outer periphery of a crown part 4 of a carcass 3 striding between bead cores 2. This reinforcing belt 8 is composed of a single inclined belt layer 6 by obliquely arranging plural reinforcing elements to a tire equatorial surface 5 and a single circumferential directional belt layer 7 by arranging organic fiber cords in parallel to the equatorial surface 5 on this inclined belt layer 6. The circumferential directional belt layer 7 has rupture strength not less than 1000kfg per a perpendicular directional width of 500mm to a cord, and the cord of the circumferential directional belt layer 7 falls within a range that chromaticity coordinates (x and y) in an XYZ color specification system in a CIE chromaticity diagram are (0.33

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To avoid a puncture failure even when a stone biting phenomenon is cause in a lug groove by providing the lug groove in the tread central area of a tread part, and arranging a slant cord layer or a wire layer between a carcass and a parallel cord layer in such a manner that a slant arrangement cord or wire crosses the lug groove. CONSTITUTION: A belt has a rubber covered slant cord layer 6a or rubber coated slant wire layer having a slant arrangement of steel cord or steel wire to the tire equatorial surface E of a tread part; and a rubber coated parallel cord layer having a cord arrangement substantially parallel to the equatorial surface E. The slant cord layer 5a is arranged between the parallel cord layer and a carcass, a lug groove 10 is provided in the center area of a tread 3t, and the slant cord layer 6a is formed in such a manner that a steel cord 16ac of slant arrangement crosses the lug groove 10. Thus, a sufficient tire strength can be provided to effectively solve the puncture by stone biting apt to occur in the lug groove 10.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a pneumatic tire in which the increase in tire weight can be suppressed as much as possible to effectively prevent the breakage of the tire laid in a stone bitting state, and, particularly, a general purpose pneumatic tire for passenger car. CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing belt 8 consisting of one slant belt layer 6 having a plurality of cords or filaments extended slant to a tire equatorial surface 5 and at least one circumferential belt layer 7 situated on the slant belt layer 6 and having a plurality of organic fiber cords arranged substantially in parallel to the tire equatorial surface 5; and a tread part 10 having a circumferential groove 9 extended substantially in parallel to the tire equatorial surface 5 are provided on the outer circumference of the crown part 4 of a toroidal carcass 3 extending over a pair of bead cores 2. Thus, the organic fiber cord of the circumferential belt layer 7 consists of a polyethylene terephthalate or nylon cord, and the layer number of the circumferential belt layer 7 is increased by two layers or more in the part corresponding to the groove bottom of the circumferential groove 9, compared with the other part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a pneumatic radial tire having performance characteristics on an icy road equivalent to those of a spiked tire without detriment to the braking characteristics, driving stability, and abrasion resistance on wet and dry roads. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic radial tire is produced by using a tread made from a closed cell foam which has an expansion ratio of 5-50% and an average cell diameter of 1-120mum and is obtd. from a rubber compsn. obtd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. conjugated diene rubber with 30 pts.wt. or higher conjugated diene block copolymer. The block copolymer is obtd. by copolymerizing a conjugated diene compd. with an arom. vinyl compd. using a lithium-based initiator, has a total vinyl bond content of 20-70% and a total arom. vinyl compd. content of 5-40%, and consists of 15-85wt.% random copolymer block (A) and 85-15wt.% random copolymer block (B) each having a vinyl bond content in the diene parts and an arom. vinyl compd. content different from the other. The copolymer block A has a vinyl bond content in the diene parts of 20% or higher and an arom. vinyl compd. content of 30% or lower while the copolymer block B has a vinyl bond content in the diene parts of 60% or lower and an arom. vinyl compd. content of 50% or lower.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can suppress a degradation of a wet performance, an occurrence of a road noise, and a degradation of a riding comfort caused by a tire wear and maintain an excellent performance until the last stage of travelling by improving a rubber composition of a tire tread. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire consists of a pair of right and left beads, a side wall connected to the beads, a tread located between the side walls, a carcass ply which extends across a bead cores placed in the beads and is wrapped and fixed to the bead cores at both ends thereof, and a bead filler extending upward on the bead core. A rubber composition which contains 1 to 200 pts.wt. of a process oil with respect to 100 pts.wt. of a rubber constituent, and 1 to 100 pts.wt. of an oil absorbent having an absorbing ability per unit weight greater than twice the process oil with respect to the process oil is used for the tread of this tire.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a general-purpose pneumatic tire for an automobile which has good uniformity, excellent cornering performance and high speed durability together. CONSTITUTION: An inclined belt layer 6, a circumferential belt layer 7 and a tread are sequentially arranged on the outer periphery of a crown part 4 of a carcass 3 extending between a pair of bead cores 2 like a troid, and the inclined belt layer 6 is formed by continuously arranging a belt-like body obtained by coating one or plural cords with rubber in zig-zag in the circumferential direction and arranging the bent parts at the cross-direction ends 9a, 9b. The cord of the inclined belt layer 6 is an organic fiber cord made of vinylon, and has a double twisting structure, and the cord diameter is in the region of 0.85mm or less. The circumferential belt layer 7 is formed by at least one layer, positioned on the inclined belt layer 6, and the cord is wound spirally to be arranged substantially parallel to the equatorial plane of a tire.

A cord is made of steel with a diameter less than 0.85mm, and the circumferential belt layer 7 is situated on the slant belt layer 6, formed of a cord spirally wound and arranged substantially in parallel to the tire equatorial surface, and set narrow in width, compared with the width of the slant belt layer 6. The cord of the circumferential belt layer 7 consists of an organic fiber, and the tangential loss tanδ is less than 0.3 under conditions of distortion amplitude 0.1%, frequency 20Ha, and atmospheric temperature 25 deg.C.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method to avoid cord breakage of a carcass ply taken place in the neighbourhood of an end edge of a belt layer in the peripheral direction which is a common problem of lightened belt structure. CONSTITUTION:This is a pneumatic radial tire with belts and treads sequentially arranged on the outside of a carcass in the tire radial direction straddling along between a pair of bead cores in a troidal shape. Consequently, the belt has a single layer of an inclined belt layer 2 arranged with a large number of cords extending and inclined against a tire equatorial surface and at least one layer of belt layers 3 in the peripheral direction arrayed with a large number of the cords extending along the tire equatorial surface, and the inclined belt layer flattens the outline shape of the cords in the breadth direction of the belt at a part corresponding with the neighbourhood of the end edge of the belt layer in the peripheral direction.
