Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication processor efficiently provided with both of a power saving standby function and a memory reception mode by the instruction of an external information processing terminal. SOLUTION: When an instruction to a facsimile equipment is provided from a personal computer through an external i/f part, whether or not the instruction is a changeover instruction to normal reception is judged (step S31). When it is the changeover instruction to the normal reception, the normal reception is preserved in the part for storing a reception mode of a nonvolatile RAM (step S32). When it is not the changeover instruction to the normal reception, whether or not it is the changeover instruction to memory reception is judged (step S33). When it is the changeover instruction to the memory reception, the memory reception is preserved in the part for storing the reception mode of the nonvolatile RAM (step S34). In the case that it is not the changeover instruction to the normal reception or the memory reception, the instruction is preserved in a volatile RAM in the step S35.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable control corresponding to an instruction from an information processing terminal and to improve reliability by controlling the order of the execution of the instruction from an external information processing terminal and the output of information for indicating whether or not the instruction is executable. SOLUTION: A command corresponding to an operation to be executed is transmitted from the external information processing terminal 109 to a facsimile equipment. A facsimile MPU 101 generates a response to the command and transmits it through an interface control part 108 to the information processing terminal 109. In the case of a stop (STOP) processing, the MPU 101 interrupts the transmission of a specified reception number by a stop command and transmits an OK response to the information processing terminal 109. Since instantanity and certainly are requested in the stop processing, the transmission is not interrupted after the return of the OK response to the information processing terminal 109 is confirmed and the OK response is returned after the transmission of the specified reception number is interrupted.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to relieve or suppress a 'burn' by providing the device with a driving means including a means for setting the display state of pixels, a means for impressing DC voltage between electrodes and a means for changing over the polarities of the DC voltage. CONSTITUTION: The voltage exceeding the one threshold voltage of the chiral smectic liquid crystals is impressed on the pixels on the scanning electrodes selected by the first phase (1/2.ΔT period) of a scanning selection signal SS, by which the display state of the pixels is non-selectively erased. The voltage exceeding the other threshold voltage of the chiral smectic liquid crystals is impressed on the selected pixels among the erased pixels by the second phase (ΔT period) of the scanning selection signal SS, by which the display state of the pixels is set. The DC voltage VDC of ±1.5V0 is impressed as the scanning non-selection signal SN on the scanning electrodes not impressed with the signal SS. The first and second periods may be set in on one perpendicular scanning period of one frame scanning period or one field scanning period and may be set in one horizontal scanning period and, therefore, the polarities of the DC voltage VDC are changed over in these periods.

The surface of the wafer 1 is kept by a heater 4 at a temp. higher than the decomposition temp. of a gas contg. dimethylaluminum hydride(DMAH) and TiCl4 and lower than 450 deg.C. Subsequently, DMAH, H2 and TiCl4 are supplied from first, second and third gas lines with H2 as the carrier gas and introduced into the reaction tube 2 through a mixer 5 to deposit an Al-Ti film on the surface of the water 1. A semiconductor device highly integrated and made highly efficient in the semiconductor technical field is provided at a low cost by this method.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to form an Al-TiSi film of good quality as a conductor with good controllability and at a desired position by a method wherein the temperature on the electron donative surface of a substrate is maintained at the decomposition temperature or higher of specified gases and within the range of a temperature of 450 deg.C or lower in an atmosphere containing the specified gases and a tianium-containing Al film is selectively formed on the electron donative surface. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 having an electron donative surface and a non- electron donative surface is arranged in a space 2 for depositing a film. Then, alkylaluminium hydride-containing gas, titanium atom-containing gas and hydrogen gas are introduced in the space for depositing a film, the temperature of the electron donative surface is maintained at the decomposition temperature or higher of the alkylaluminium hydride and titanium atom-containing gases and within a range of temperature of 450 deg.C or lower and a titanium-containin Al film is selectively formed on the electron donative surface. Thereby, the low-resistance, dense and flat Al-Ti or Al-SiTi film can be selectively deposited on the substrate.
