    Abstract: PURPOSE:To transmit image data for every unit of shuttle scan and to receive image data for every unit of shuttle print. CONSTITUTION:An image scanner 11 reads an original image by performing the shuttle scan. A block buffer in an encoding/decoding part 15 stores the image data outputted from the image scanner 11 in the order of shuttle scan and outputs the stored image data in the order of raster scan. A CCU 114 transmits the image data outputted from the block buffer to a line 116 for every unit of shuttle scan and receives the image data from the line 116 for every unit of shuttle print at a printer 12. The image data received by the CCU 114 are stored in the block buffer in the order of raster scan and outputted in the order of shuttle scan. The printer 12 performs the shuttle print of image data outputted from the block buffer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent interruption of a line due to expiration of a timer even when it takes much time to read direct communication by setting a time of the watchdog timer monitoring the presence of transmission/reception of a command with an opposite terminal equipment for each communication after line connection. CONSTITUTION:The transmission is started by a command of the operator and a communication control section 6 is used to connect layers 2--4 and to discriminate whether or not the transmission service is direct transmission. In the case of the direct transmission, a time being thrice the system fixed time is set to a non-communication watchdog timer used to decide a parameter of CSS and a CSS command is sent to a receiver side facsimile equipment. On the other hand, in the case of other transmission mode than the direct transmission, the system fixed time is set to the watchdog timer and the CSS command is sent. Even when it takes much time to make the reading complete in the case of the direct transmission, the line interruption due to the expiration of the watchdog timer is prevented by setting a different communication time to the timer depending on each service.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To connect an ISDN terminal equipment to an existing non-ISDN digital communication network and to use the terminal equipment by providing a protocol conversion means to the adaptor, in which the protocol is used to connect an ISDN terminal equipment connecting to an ISDN to an existing non-ISDN digital communication network. CONSTITUTION:The adaptor discriminates whether or not a 'call setting' message is received from an ISDN terminal equipment 8 in the standby state, and when the answer is No, the adaptor executes the discrimination till a 'call setting' message is received. When the adaptor receives a 'call setting' message, the adaptor sends a 'call request' command to a network. When the adaptor discriminates whether or not a 'selection signal transmission enable' command from the network is received, and the answer is No, the adaptor executes the discrimination till a 'selection signal transmission enable' message is received. When the 'selection signal transmission enable' command is received, a 'selection signal' is sent to the network. Then the adaptor discriminates whether or not an 'end of connection' command from the network is received, and when the answer in No, the adaptor executes the discrimination till an 'end of connection' command is received. When the 'end of connection' command is received, a 'call setting reception' message is sent to the ISDN terminal equipment 8.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To speedily investigate the cause of error by announcing stored error information against the generation of error in a communication process. CONSTITUTION:When a call control part 15 or an NCU 16a detects a call terminated from the equipment of a called party, a G3/G4 equipment 1 starts a call terminating process, stores the communication process in a memory 19 and waits for the end of communication. In this case, when the end is an error end, a call originating operation is executed to call the G3/G4 equipment of a center. Next, when the call is completely originated to the G3/G4 equipment of the center and the operation is moved to a communicatable state, the stored communication process is read out and transmitted as a picture data by a G3 or G4 process. Thus, since communication process logging is automatically transferred to the center in the case of the error end, the cause of error can be speedily investigated.

Afterwards, the TBR command is waited and when receiving this command, the line is cut off. Thus, the abnormality can be simulated in the company itself.

CONSTITUTION:When the mode of a facsimile equipment 100 is set to the notice mode to an opposite terminal equipment as to charge information, charge information is informed to the opposite party after the end of communication automatically. At the end of communication, a charging information storage section 10 is used to store the charging information received from the ISDN network. Moreover, a character generator 11 generates a transmission original as to the charging information to be informed to the opposite party according to a prescribed form and an MMR coding section 12 encodes it as a transmission data. Thus, the communication charge is recognized by a receiver side and the charging notice information from the caller side is used for various applications.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To offer the same service as an ISDN terminal to a non-ISDN terminal by accumulating charging information from an ISDN network to send it to the non-ISDN terminal. CONSTITUTION:A terminal adapter device 1 is connected to a G4 facsimile 10 provided with X.21 procedures by an X.21 interface 11 and is connected to an ISDN network 20 by a line 21. Charging information as one parameter of a release message received from the ISDN network 20 is stored in a storage part 4 by the control of a CPU 2. When charging information corresponding to a certain communication volume is stored, this information is subjected to MMR conversion by an MMR encoding part 5, and converted charging information is sent as picture data to the G4 facsimile 10. Thus, charging information is expressed on a communication history even in the G4 facsimile which has not ISDN procedures.

Moreover, when the said LMD command is in the mode of the Just-pc procedure, while the same procedure as at the said FAX transmission is executed between the device 7 and the communication control section 1, the Just-pc procedure is conducted.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease a picture error by outputting a next page presence signal when a prescribed quantity or over of a picture data exists in a reception buffer and outputting a message end signal when a prescribed quantity or below of the data exists therein so as to prepare the data in the procedures processing an opposite party type identification signal or the succeeding procedure at the end of one pattern in the facsimile mode. CONSTITUTION:When a picture to be sent further exists after the end of picture transmission, a next page presence signal is outputted when a prescribed quantity of picture data is received in a reception buffer and a message end signal is outputted when not received to retard a reply signal to an opposite party identification signal thereby storing the sufficient picture data into buffer. It has been conventionally difficult to send a data from a host to a communication function within 6sec after a CFR (reception preparation confirmation) or an MCF (message confirmation), but it is made possible. Moreover, a prescribed quantity of buffer data to a communication function to be correspondent to the change in the transmission speed of the data to the line depending on the fine picture is provided to send a correct picture.
