Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain stable electric potential characteristics by forming a composite layer consisting of a specified polymer and other resin as an intermediate layer between an electricaly conductive support and a photosensitive layer. Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable high-accuracy focus detection at plural points in a photographing range by arranging a triangular prism on the optical path between a secondary optical system and a light receiving means while the incidence surface is adhered to or set closely opposite the surface of the secondary system on the side of the light receiving means. CONSTITUTION:A focus detection system is constituted of the secondary optical system 48 which forms plural light quantity distributions relating to an object image by using luminous flux passing through different areas of the pupil of an objective, a diaphragm which limits the quantity of light incident on the secondary optical system, and the light receiving means which detects the relative position relation between the light quantity distributions. The focus detection system is constituted of two focus detection systems which have mutually different center parts of range finding visual fields of light quantity distribution areas of the object image, and the surface 48-4 of the secondary optical system 48 on the side of the light receiving means is adhered to the incidence surface 49-3 of a prism member 49 to guide light from the secondary optical system 48 to the light receiving means side through a reflecting surface 49-1. Thus, deviation in lens surface peak position among secondary image forming lenses constituting the secondary optical system 48 is reduced to enable the high-accuracy focus detection.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform focus detection at multiple points in a photographic plane with high accuracy by constituting the projection for focus detection by using plural projection lenses which have optical axes in planes parallel to pattern stripes and are equal in refracting power. CONSTITUTION:A focus detection unit is so formed that when the image formation point of an objective is in front of an estimated image formation plane, the light quantity destributions of pattern images formed on two photodetecting element arrays 29b1 and 29b2 are close to each other. Further, when the image formation point of the lens is behind the estimated image formation point, on the other hand, the light quantity distributions on the photodetecting element arrays 29b1 and 29b2 shift away from each other. Then the quantity of deviation between the light quantity distributions is in functional relation to the quantity of defocusing of the objective, so the quantity of deviation is calculated by an arithmetic means to calculate the direction and quantity of the defocusing of the objective. Consequently, distance to multiple photographic planes can be measured with high accuracy.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize the potential of a photosensitive body in the dark against change of environmental temperature and humidity and to restrain rise of the potential in the light and variance of the potential in the dark at the time of repeated uses by forming an interlayer of a polyurethane made from a specified material. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 the interlayer 2, and a photosensitive layer composed of, for example, an electric charge generating layer 3 and a charge transfer layer 4, and the interlayer 2 is made of the polyurethane made from an isocyanate compound, such as tolylenediisocyanate, and a polyetherpolyol compound comprising plural components different in the number of functional groups, such as copoly(oxypropylene)(oxyethylene)glycol. This layer 2 is formed by coating the substrate 1 with a solution containing the 2 components including a catalyst and heat drying it to polymerize them.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain potential characteristics stable against changes of environment, such as temperature and humidity, by providing an interlayer containing a polymer of a polyether polyol compound and an isocyanate compound in a specified isocyanate to hydroxyl molar ratio in the starting composition of the polymer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer is laminated on the interlayer 2 formed on a conductive substrate 1, and the photosensitive layer may be a laminated structure functionally separated into a charge generating layer 3 and a charge transfer layer 4 or a single layer 5 having both functions. The interlayer 2 contains the polymer obtained by condensing the polyether polyol compound with the isocyanate compound in an isocyanate/hydroxyl (NCO/OH) molar ratio of 1.0-2.0, thus permitting deterioration of potential in the dark due to deterioration of barrier function under high temperature and high humidity, rise of potential in the light due to increase of resistance under low temperature and low humidity, and the like to be prevented, and stability against environmental conditions to be enhanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain potential characteristics and superior images stabilized in all the environmental conditions from low temperature and low humidity to high temperature and high humidity by adding a small amount of salts to a resin interlayer. CONSTITUTION:The interlayer contains a resin component and at least one kind of salt selected from fluoroborates, thiocyanates, nitrates, and halides as additives in an amount of 1 - 2,000ppm per the resin comonent. Since the salts are more affinitive to a solvent than the resin, they gather in high concentration near the surface of the interlayer as the solvent migrates to the surface of the interlayer at the time of drying after coating, thus permitting injectability of carriers from a photosensitive layers formed on the interlayer at the interface between both layer, rise of potential in the light and that of residual potential under low temperature and low humidity to be prevented, and drop of potential in the dark under high temperature and high humidity to be also avoided, and environmental stability to be enanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the optical flare component of the detector and to make excellent focus detection by appropriately setting the form of a field stop and performing reflection preventive treatment to the object image forming area except photoelectric converting sections on the surface of a silicon wafer chip provided with the photoelectric converting section. CONSTITUTION:A secondary image forming optical system is provided with a field stop 1 having a square aperture and field lens in the vicinity of focal surfaces of main image forming lenses 5a-5d and a two-image separating lens behind the lens 3. Moreover, reflection protective treatment is performed on the object image forming area 6f except photoelectric converting sections 6a-6d on a chip surface provided with the sections 6a-6d. When the reflection protective treatment is performed on the area 6f, reflected light can be suppressed to a low level. Moreover, since the aperture 2b of the field stop 2 has an almost square form and a very small quantity of flare is uniformly produced in the longitudinal direction of the photoelectric converting section, the influence of the small quantity of reflected light produced by the area 6f is made extremely little.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow high precision focal point detection by setting the spectral characteristics of th dielectric multi layer film provided on a half mirror plane when introducing luminous flux, which passed through the separated plural pupil regions of an objective lens, to a focal point detecting device through the half mirror plane inclined in a prescribed direction. CONSTITUTION:The pupil of the objective lens 1 is separated into the plural regions, for example, two regions and the light quantity distributions regarding two object images are formed by using the luminous flux which passes through each region, and the relative positional relation of the two light quantity distributions are obtained. At the time, the luminous flux from the objective lens 1 is introduced to the optical means through the half mirror plane 9a composed of the dielectric multi layer film positioned with the inclination against the separating direction of the pupil of the objective lens. The dielectric multi layer film is composed so as to pass through the objective lens 1 within the wavelength region which detects focusing condition and to possess almost flat spectral characteristics within the incidence angle to the half mirror plane 9a of the luminous flux introduced to the optical means. Thus, the light quantity distribution regarding the substance image is formed precisely on the plane of a photodetector string, and the focal point detecting precision is improved.
