    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an image of high picture quality with a favourable color reproduction property and without causing any problems of blur and other of letters and lines even in a multiple color mode to transfer a developed image to a transcribing material in the lump by way of forming the multiple color developed image on an image holding body. CONSTITUTION:To a development roller 11, bias voltage which direct current voltage of +340V is superimposed on alternating voltage of 200Hz, 1300Vpp is applied, additionally, direct current voltage of +260V is applied between the development roller 11 and a supply roller 13, and bias is set so that electric potential of the supply roller 13 always becomes higher than electric potential of the development roller 11 by 200V. Consequently, toner on the supply roller 13 is transferred to the development roller 11, and on the surface of the development roller 11, a toner layer of specified layer thickness is formed. Toner of the development roller 11 develops a latent image on a photoreceptor 1 at a development position facing the photoreceptor 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To charge an object member uniformly and electrostatically by providing a means which corrects electrostatic charging ability uniformly corresponding to the film thickness distribution of a 2nd dielectric. CONSTITUTION:A discharging member 1 consists of 1st and 2nd electrodes 4 and 5 embedded in 1st and 2nd dielectrics 2 and 3 and a bare electrode 6 as a 3rd electrode, and a discharge-resisting film as the 2nd dielectric 3 has an irregular film thickness distribution. Here, the 3rd electrodes 6 applied with a bias voltage is so formed that a part having larger film thickness is closer to the center of an AC discharging area 10 between the 1st and 2nd electrodes according to the film thickness distribution of the 2nd dielectric 3. Namely, the intensity of an electric field is larger and larger toward to the center of the discharging area, so the 3rd electrode 6 is put closer to the center of the discharging area to improve the electrostatic charging ability for increasing the attracting-out quantity of ions. Consequently, a charging current has uniform distribution characteristics and an irregular electrostatic charging current distribution due to the irregular film thickness distribution can be eliminated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording head which can extract ions stably and uniformly, by applying an alternating voltage first and second electrodes and forming an electric field extending through covering dielectric and space regions between said electrodes then producing ions in the air regions and providing said ions selectively onto a recording face. CONSTITUTION:When an alternating voltage is applied first and second electrodes 1, 2 of a pair of electrodes, creeping discharge occurs near the surface of dielectric existing between said electrodes. In other word, application of alternating voltage causes formation of an electric field extending through a covering dielectric 3, an air region 5 and a dielectric 4 between said electrodes so as to produce discharge in the air region 5. On the other hand, a D.C. bias voltage is applied by a bias power source 10 across a selected third electrode 14 and a backface electrode or a conductive layer 8 of a recording material 6 to form an electric field which causes discharging and produces positive and negative ions each of which are transferred to the side of the recording material 6. The polarity of ion is determined by the polarity of the bias voltage and the surface of an insulation layer 7 in the recording member 6 is charged with that polarity thus forming a static dot image.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable uniform and stable electrification by providing a control means which controls the frequency of an alternating voltage from an alternating voltage applying means according to a detected electrifying current and controls the electrifying current to a preset value. CONSTITUTION:When an AC voltage higher than a specific electrostatic discharging start voltage is applied to between embedded electrodes 11 and 12 from the AC power source 14, electrification is caused in a single area 15 around a part facing the periphery of the interval between the electrodes on the bottom surface of an electrifying device to generate a positive and a negative ion alternately. The electrostatic discharging start voltage varies according to the interval between the embedded electrodes 11 and 12, the thickness and dielectric constant of a dielectric below the embedded electrodes, etc., so it can be determined properly by the trader. A bare electrode 13 is fixed to the bottom surface of the electrifying device 1 which causes electrostatic discharging with the AC voltage. Consequently, the constant quantity of electrification is obtained in any environment and the electrifying current is held at the specific value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtaine an uniform surface luminous intensity of a light source device and also to make possible to enlarge the surface easily and to miniaturize the device by constructing the device with a dielectric plate, two electrodes, a voltage applying means, gas and a sealing member of gas. CONSTITUTION:A discharge device 1 is constructed with a dielectric plate 11, the 1st. electrode 12 produced on one side surface of the dielectric plate 11, the 2nd. electrode 13 produced in film on the other side surface of the dielectric plate 11, and an insulator film 14 coated on the electrode 13. The said discharge device 1 is enclosed in a plane package 2 (sealing member) so as a required gap is formed between the front plate 2a of the package 2 and the electrode 12. And the electrodes 12 and 13 are connected to an AC source 3 outside of the package 2 though terminals 15 respectively. In the space of the package 2 a gas emitting visible light during the discharge of the said device 1 is sealed. Thereby the uniform surface luminescence can be realized and also the enlarging of the surface and the miniaturization of the device can be enabled easily.
