Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel container capable of flowing out stored fuel regardless of holding attitude. SOLUTION: The fuel container 7 includes a container body 15 in which liquid fuel 10 is stored and a flowing-out port 9 for flowing out the fuel 10, and the fuel 10 is made to flow out from the flow-out port 9 by introducing water produced in the fuel cell into the interior of the container body 15. In the fuel container 7, high viscous liquid 11 is stratified while containing no air bubbles on the fuel 10, and a swelling body 17 which swells by absorbing produced water is filled in a space 60 surrounded by the inner wall of the container body 15 and the liquid level of the high viscous liquid 11. In the fuel container 7, water produced in the fuel cell flows through a passage 19 and is introduced into the space 60 inside the container body 15. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer in which substantial high speed printing can be carried out while eliminating waste of idle ejection time by providing a long print head. SOLUTION: An idle ejection receiving part 26 having an ink absorber 27 is provided in proximity to and oppositely to the ink ejection plane 24 of a color long print head 20 arranged with a large number of nozzles 25 in four rows and the upper circulation moving part of an endless wire 35 entrained about a pulley 34 for wire, a feed roller 28 and a groove made along the circumferential surface of a carrying roller 29 is disposed between them in order to guide a sheet. A wire cleaning part 36 is disposed to abut against the lower circulation moving part of the endless wire 35. At the time of printing, idle ejection is performed at such a timing as no sheet is present at the print section during the interval between a preceding sheet P1 and a sheet P2 being carried next. Idly ejected ink is absorbed into the absorber 27 and ink adhering to the upper surface of the upper circulation moving part of the endless wire 35 is cleaned off when the endless wire 35 passes through the wire cleaning part 36.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condensing lens and an illuminator using the lens in which the device is made small in size without necessitating a wide space for the installation of the illuminator. SOLUTION: A condensing lens 3 for illumination having an incident plane 9, a reflection plane 11 reflecting light being incident from the incident plane 9 and an emission plane 10 emitting the reflected light from the reflecting plane 11 is in use, light (a) emitted from LED light emitting elements 5-1, 5-2, 5-3,... is led from the incident plane 9, light is reflected in a curved surface formed to the reflecting plane 11 and reflected light (b) is emitted to an emission part such as an original via the emission plane 10. Then the light reflected in the emission part changes its direction by a reflection mirror 12 formed to the condensing lens 3 for illumination to emit the light to a CCd element. Through the constitution mentioned above, the condensing lens 3 for illumination is made thin and small in size and the illuminator is formed in a small size.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an ink ribbon particularly having a simple structure capable of saving a device cost which is placed between a print head and a paper, and an ink thereon is transferred to a position on the paper corresponding to heated resistors in the print head. CONSTITUTION:In an ink ribbon 10 on which colors of yellow(Y), magenta(M) and cyan(C) are coated in order, transparent sections I-III in respective boundary sections between them are formed having different widths L1-L3. A light emitted from a photosensor 17 is reflected by a silver tape 18 and a detection time of the reflection light is detected so that a position of the transparent section is discriminated, thereby it is possible to detect the boundary sections of respective colors in a markedly simple structure.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank in which a recording head can perform printing regardless of the orientation of the ink ejection plane. SOLUTION: An ink tank 45 comprises an ink absorber 51 disposed in the vicinity of the supply opening 48 of an ink chamber 46, and high viscosity fluid 52 disposed oppositely to the ink absorber 51 while holding ink 47 between. Air 53 touches the high viscosity fluid 52 on the side opposite to the ink 47 wherein the air 53 is supplied by means of a pump, or the like, through an air supply pipe 54, an air supply opening 55, and an air conduction passage 56. The high viscosity fluid 52 is moved to the supply opening 48 side by an amount of ink 47 decreased by print operation of an ink jet head.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of detecting lack of a consumable that executes optimum ordering by predicting an ordering time of the consumables having different used amounts by each user. SOLUTION: An ink purchasing informing system 6 analyzes a pattern of ink consumption amount of a user and predicts an optimum time for obtaining ink for replacement before an out-of-ink condition based on the pattern to notify the user of the time at the predicted time. A printing system 1 and a server 9 of a printer maker 8 can communicate with each other via an internet 7. It is possible to automatically order the ink to the server 9 of the printer maker 8 at a time corresponding to the predicted time. A purchasing order data consisting of at least a type number of the used ink and an ID of the printing system 1 is registered to the server 9. It is preferable that the purchasing order data includes terms of settlement.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color ink jet printer capable of reducing a quantity of ink ejected by priming in such a manner that ejection nozzles for a non-used color is capped even during the operation of printing. SOLUTION: A paper sheet 34 is inserted from a lower section to be conveyed in the left side by being attracted to a conveyance belt 35 and is reversed by a following roller 33. After that, the paper sheet 34 is printed by passing through a platen 31 to be discharged to the outside. In the case of monochrome printing, a color print head unit 22 is moved to a maintenance position at the left side by a sliding mechanism 29 and is covered with a cap member 26 for the color print head unit 22 to be stopped and then a black color print head unit 21 is positioned opposite the platen 31 to form a black color image on the paper sheet 34. During the printing, the priming of the color print head unit 22 is not executed. In the case of color printing, the black color print head 21 and the color print head unit 22 are supported by head unit holders 23, 24 to be positioned opposite the platen 31 and then a full-color image is formed on the paper sheet 34 by inks of yellow, cyan, magenta and black colors ejected from the print heads.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer head in which an orifice plate and a diaphragm are bonded by a strength not causing ink bleeding to a bonding part, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Individual wiring electrodes 21, resistance heating parts 22, a common electrode 23, an ink feed groove 24 and an ink feed hole 25 are formed on a chip substrate of this printing head 20. Moreover, a seal diaphragm 26 and partition diaphragms 27 which surround each of the resistance heating parts 22 from three directions are formed, and seal diaphragms 31 and 32 having uneven end faces are formed to sides opposite to three edges not facing an ink feed path 29 of the ink feed groove 24. Projecting parts are formed when baking is carried out to corner parts between an upper face and uneven end faces shaped like comb teeth and formed by these partition diaphragms 27 and the seal diaphragms 26, 31 and 32. The orifice plate 33 is bonded onto the projecting parts, whereby the projecting parts are buried in an adhesive layer to exert a anchoring effect. The orifice plate 33 and the diaphragms are tightly bonded accordingly.
