    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a sensor which can detect an angle of inclination or an acceleration by making use of gravity. CONSTITUTION:The position of a ball 3 which is arranged, so as to be freely movable, on a spherical concave face 2 on a transparent base 1 is detected as a shadow when parallel rays of light which are radiated from a plane light source 4 and which have transmitted the transparent base 1 are received by a two-dimensional photosensor array 5. Then, the ball 3 is moved on the concave face 2 when the base is tilted or an acceleration is applied. Its moved position is detected, and prescribed arithmetic is performed. Thereby, an angle of inclination and an acceleration can be detected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the optical shutter device which is fast in response speed and simple in construction. CONSTITUTION:A charge order-disorder transition layer 3 consisting of a material, for example, Yb4As3, which transfers to a charge order state and a charge disorder state near room temp. and is changed in the vibration frequency OMEGAp at the plasma end by the transition is used as the essential component of the optical shutter device. Light nu of the vibration frequency higher than the vibration frequency W at the plasma end transmits the charge order-disorder transition layer 3 in the case of the charge order state (1) shown by a solid line. The light nu' of the vibration frequency lower than the vibration frequency OMEGAp' at the plasma end is shut off in the case of the charge disorder state (2) shown by a dotted line. The charge order-disorder transition layer is transferred between the charge order state and the charge disorder state simply by externally modulating the number of carriers of the charge order-disorder transition layer in such a case. Then, the response speed is increased and the construction is simplified as compared with the liquid crystal optical shutter device.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method for electron emitting electrode capable of easily manufacturing a perovskite electron emitting electrode with good electron emitting characteristic at low cost, and a light emitting panel using it. CONSTITUTION:In melting process, three kinds of nitrates of a rear earth nitrate represented by R(NO3)3.nH2O; Si(NO3)2; and Mn(NO3)3.nH2O or Co(NO3)3.nH2O are dissolved in an organic solvent such as ethanol. In coating process, a determined quantity of this solution is applied to a Ni base 2. In drying process, this base 2 is put in a vacuum vessel with the coated surface up, and dried while smoothing it in an uniform thickness on the base 2 by repeatedly inclining in lateral directions. In this drying process, a preliminary reaction is conducted at 300 deg.C as occasion demands. In heating process, the base 2 is put in an electric furnace and heated at 75O deg.C for 2hours, and NO3 is removed from the nitrates in the solution to form a perovskite composite oxide.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an electron emitting electrode, which can be driven at a low voltage, where a plurality of fine particles are attached to the surface of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:In an electron emitting electrode 1, a plurality of fine particles 3 each made of substance having a work function smaller than that of an electrode main body 2 are attached onto the electrode main body 2. A solvent where the fine particles 3 are floated and suspended is applied to the surface of the electrode main body 2, followed by drying, and is pressed against the surface of the electrode main body 2 so that the fine particles 3 are attached to the surface of the electrode main body 2. In the electron emitting electrode 1, electric field strength in the vicinity of the fine particle 3 becomes large, thus realizing driving at a low voltage.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thin film having a high magnetic transition temperature by selecting a composition of RZMnO3 ('R' is a rare earth element having a valence number of 3, and 'Z' is an element chosen from Sr, Ca or Pb having a valence number of 2). CONSTITUTION:After R (NO3)3.6H2O ('R' is a rare earth element), Z (NO3)2 ('Z' is an element chosen from Sr, Ca or Pb having a valence number of 2) and Mn (NO3)3.6H2O are dissolved into an organic solvent, this solution is applied on a substrate made of silica glass. This substrate is then subjected to vacuum drying within a vacuum chamber. A thin film is formed over a substrate 3 by means of a series of these operations. The substrate is introduced into an electric furnace, and is heated, thereby effecting a pyrolytic reaction. This heating results in the formation of a magnetic semiconductor oxide thin film having a composition of La0.5Sr0.7MnO3 over the substrate. This thin film is of a perovskite type manganese oxide, and has a magnetic transition temperature as high as 355K. It is possible to render the thin film practically effective as a magnetic semiconductor oxide.

A polygon mirror body 11 is rotated in the direction of an arrow A, its 6 side surfaces are irradiated by the laser on mirror surfaces 11a and reflect it to a screen to perform image display. If such display process is performed 30 times or more in 1 second, image display which is the same as a television image can be obtained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printing head which is prevented from a substrate break and is advantageous in improving a manufacturing yield. SOLUTION: An ink groove projection 28-1 is formed to a central part of an ink groove 28. An ink supply hole 29 is formed to a position whereat a communication port 30 to the ink supply hole 29 is formed in the ink groove projection 28-1. The communication port 30 is hence disposed so that a central position of the communication port 30, namely, a position of a center axis of the ink supply hole 29 is shifted by a predetermined distance to a center line in a breadth direction of the ink groove 28. A structure of the ink groove 28 in the vicinity of the ink supply hole 29 is improved in strength than a structure of the conventional ink groove where the center line in the breadth direction agrees with the axial center position of the ink supply hole. Accordingly, concentration of a mechanical stress when sand blasting is carried out or when a top plate is attached is eased, and the substrate break in a longitudinal direction of the ink groove 28 is prevented.
