In some embodiments, a dual-aperture zoom digital camera comprises a Wide camera with a Wide field of view FOV W , a Wide sensor and a Wide lens, wherein the Wide camera is operative to output Wide image information, a Tele camera with a Tele field of view FOV T smaller than FOV W and with a Tele sensor, a Tele lens with a Tele lens optical axis and a scanning OPFE, and a processing unit operative to detect an object of interest (OOI) from Wide and/or Tele image information and to direct the Tele camera to move FOV T to acquire Tele image information on the OOI.

Abstract: A dual-aperture camera comprising a first camera having a first sensor and a first image signal processor (ISP), the first camera operative to output a first stream of frames, a second camera having a second sensor and a second ISP, the second camera operative to output a second stream of frames, and a synchronization and operation control module configurable to control operation of one camera in a fully operational mode and operation of the other camera in a partially operational mode and to output an output of the fully operational camera as a dual-aperture camera output, whereby the partially operational mode of the other camera reduces a dual-aperture camera the power consumption in comparison with a full operational mode of the other camera.

Abstract: A multi-aperture imaging system comprising a first camera with a first sensor that captures a first image and a second camera with a second sensor that captures a second image, the two cameras having either identical or different FOVs. The first sensor may have a standard color filter array (CFA) covering one sensor section and a non-standard color CFA covering another. The second sensor may have either Clear or standard CFA covered sections. Either image may be chosen to be a primary or an auxiliary image, based on a zoom factor. An output image with a point of view determined by the primary image is obtained by registering the auxiliary image to the primary image.
