Abstract: A process produces 1,3-oxazolidine derivatives by reacting an imine derivative of the following formula (1): with an epoxy compound of the following formula (2): to yield an oxazolidine derivative of the following formula (3): A compound of Group 3 elements of the Periodic Table of Elements, or other metallic compounds can be used as a catalyst. In the formulae, R , R , R , R , R , and R are each, independently, a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, or a heterocyclic group, and R is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, a heterocyclic group, a hydroxyl group, a substituted oxy group, or an amino group which may have a substituent, where a combination of R and R , R and R , R and R , or R and R may be combined to form a ring with the adjacent carbon atom or carbon-carbon bond. The process can easily yield 1,3-oxazolidine derivatives from readily available materials.

El compuesto imida catalítico incluye por ejemplo un compuesto representado por la siguiente fórmula (1): en la que R1 y R2 son cada uno de ellos un átomo de hidrógeno, un átomo de halógeno, un grupo alquilo, un grupo arilo o un grupo cicloalquilo, pudiéndose combinar R1 y R2 para formar un enlace doble, un anillo aromático o no aromático; y X es un átomo de oxígeno o un grupo hidroxilo. el cicloalcano incluye, por ejemplo, un cicloalcano que tiene de 5 a 15 eslabones. La invención puede producir fácilmente peróxido de bis (1-hidroxicicloalquil) a partir de un material barato.

The co-catalyst comprises a compound contains plural elements (except heteropolyacid and a combination of Group 7 and 8 elements of the Periodic Table of Elements), and is useful for the formation of an oxide (e.g., a ketone, an alcohol, a carboxylic acid): wherein R and R represent a substituent such as a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, or R and R may together form a double bond or an aromatic or nonaromatic 5- to 12-membered ring, X is O or OH, and n is 1 to 3.

Abstract: The invented process produces hydrogen peroxide by reacting a primary or secondary alcohol with oxygen in the presence of an imide compound of the following formula (1): wherein each of R and R is, identical to or different from each other, a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a cycloalkyl group, a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group, a carboxyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, or an acyl group, where R and R may be combined to form a double bond, or an aromatic or non-aromatic ring; X is an oxygen atom or a hydroxyl group, where one or two N-substituted cyclic imido groups indicated in the formula (1) may be further bonded to the R , R , or to the double, bond or aromatic or non-aromatic ring formed together by R and R , to yield hydrogen peroxide. According to the process, hydrogen peroxide can be easily and efficiently obtained from readily available materials.

Abstract: The oxidation catalyst system of the invention is composed of (A) a ruthenium compound and (B) a dioxybenzene or its oxidant. The ruthenium compound (A) includes dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) and other ruthenium complexes and Ru/C. The dioxybenzene or its oxidant (B) includes hydroquinone. The oxidation of an alcohol by molecular oxygen in the presence of the oxidation catalyst system can give the corresponding carbonyl compound in high yield. A primary alcohol is more selectively oxidized than a secondary alcohol.
