    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject pasty dental material, comprising a polymerizable organic bonding agent and a finely divided filler, polishable to a high gloss, capable of fulfilling aesthetic requirements of a dental working material and having good physical properties and a sufficient transparency. CONSTITUTION: This pasty dental material comprises an Al-containing organopolysiloxane composed of a unit represented by formula I, a unit represented by formula II (R is a 1-6C alkyl bonded to an acrylate or a methacrylate, etc.) and/or a unit represented by formula III (R is a 1-3C alkyl or phenyl) and, in all the cases, units represented by formulae IV to V (R is a 1-5C alkyl or phenyl) used as a filler in the pasty dental material, comprising a polymerizable organic bonding agent and the finely divided filler and hardenable into a mass polishable to a high gloss in the presence of an initiator. Free atoms of O bonded to Si and Al are saturated with St or Al of the same or different units at (3:1) to (100:1) ratio of Si in the unit represented by formula I:Si in the units represented by formulae II to III and (2:1) to (200:1) ratio of Si in the units represented by formulae I to III:Al in the unit represented by formula IV.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a pasty dental material excellent in physical characteristics, grindable in high luster, comprising a curable polymerizable organic binder and a fine organopolysiloxane filler having specific constituent units. CONSTITUTION: This material is obtained by formulating (A) a polymerizable organic binder (e.g. methyl methacrylate) curable in the presence of an initiator with (B) a hetero siloxane composed of units of formula I and formula II and capable of containing a unit of formula III [R is a 1-18C alkyl, a 5-8C cycloalkyl, phenyl, an arylalkyl, a 1-6C alkyl bonded to (meth)acrylate, one olefinic unsaturated 2-8C hydrocarbon group, one olefinic unsaturated 5-8C cyclic hydrocarbon group] and or a unit of formula IV in which a liberated valence of an oxygen atom of each unit is saturated by a silicon atom or titanium atom of the same or different unit, the ratio of the total of silicon atoms to titanium atom is 1:1 to 100:1 and the amount of silicon atom from the unit of formula I to the total of silicon atoms is 100 to 30mol%.
