    Abstract: An elevator shaft door having a door panel composed of a front wall and rear wall, which walls are connected together by a thermally releasable material, wherein at least a part of the closing edge of the respective door panels consists of a profile member that is formed by the back wall or thermally non-detachably fastened to the back wall. In the case of a fire, the back wall separates from the front wall through release of the thermally releasable material, wherein the front wall curves by heat effect while the back wall with the closing edge retains the original shape.

    Abstract: A method and a system for emergency evacuation of building occupants and to a method for modernization of an existing building with the evacuation system. The system is used in a multi-story building having a plurality of floors and with at least one elevator positionable at selected landings of the floors. A first device is provided for measuring the number of persons in the building and a second device is provided for detecting an emergency condition in the building. At least one control unit is provided for determining or for estimating a number of building occupants in the building. The control unit defines at least one evacuation zone in the building during the emergency condition. Based on this information, the control unit defines at least one designated floor in the building during the emergency condition. Then the system evacuates the building occupants with the elevator car and/or a stairway from the evacuation zone to the designated floor.

    Abstract: A locking system for the doors of a lift comprises a solenoid (1) with armature (2) and air bellows (3). The latter communicates via a tube (4) with the bellows (26) for the lock. This has a reinforced front surface (22) and an internal spring (14) to bias it into the extended position. It is withdrawn by vacuum from the first bellows when the armature is moved. On the surface of the second bellows is a roller (6) operating the door for the lift shaft by means of a thrust rod (8). The movement of the two bellows is determined by microswitches feeding a monitoring system connected to an auxiliary vacuum pump.

    Abstract: The proposed entraining equipment for the coupling, unlatching and entraining of shaft doors in lifts is a parallelogram, which is arranged to be movable laterally and actuated by the door drive on the cage, with two entraining members (1, 2). One entraining member (1) is firmly connected with a slide member (8), which slides in a guide (9) and is pushed into a neutral abutment setting by a compression spring (10) during the travel. A movable arresting coulisse (3), the upper parallelogram arm of which displays a pawl lever (6) with a pawl (12), is mounted on the entraining member (1). On travelling into a stopping place, the entraining equipment is pushed by the shaft door rollers (11, 21) into a position centred with respect to the shaft door rollers (11, 21) and, on the moving of the lefthand shaft door roller (21) onto the arresting coulisse (3), this is urged inwardly and the entire entraining equipment is arrested in the centred position by means of the pawl (12) engaging in between the teeth of a toothed comb (7). During travel, the compression spring (10) pushes the equipment again into a neutral initial position. For adjusting operations at the door drive from a storey, the arresting can be undone by means of an eccentric (18) to be actuated manually.
