    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a disposable dry cap agreeable to the touch and quick in drying hair by laminating a layer of a liquid-impermeable sheet and a layer of a liquid-permeable sheet on the outer surface and on the inner surface of a water-absorbing sheet containing high water-absorbane polymer, respectively. SOLUTION: A liquid-impermeable sheet consisting of polyethylene film, etc., is laminated on the outer surface of a water-absorbing sheet containing a high water-absorbance polymer whose water-absorbing capacity is >=100wt.% preferably >=300wt.% of the weight of the high water-absorbance polymer itself in such amount that the total amount of water absorption of a dry cap becomes >=20wt.%, preferably >=100wt.% of the weight of the dry cap itself. Further, a liquid-permeable sheet consisting of porous polylefin is laminated on the inner surface of the water-absorbing sheet, and thereafter they are formed into the objective dry cap.

CONSTITUTION:A toiletry product contains a carboxybetaine of formula I (A is a 2C or 6-15C alkylene; A is a IC or 6-15C alkylene; each of R and R is a 1-15C alkyl or 2-15C alkenyl; and among A , A , A and R only one 6C or higher group is allowed) or a carboxybetaine of formula II-IV (each one of A and A is a 6-15C alkylene; each one of R , R , and R -R is a 1-5C alkyl or 2-6 alkenyl; and R is a 6-15C alkyl or alkenyl). It is preferable to combine 0.1-20wt.%, specifically 0.5-10wt.% of the carboxybetaine of formula I to IV to the toiletry product for giving it non-stickiness but moist feeling. The toilertry product is suitable especially for a rinse or a body rinse of washing away after use type.

The compound, for example, 3-(N-hydroxyethyl)-aminopropionic acid is prepared by dripping 2-aminoethanol to a solution of sodium 3-chloropropionate in ethanol at room temperature, then gradually increasing the temperature up to 80 deg.C and continuing the reaction at the temperature for 15 hours.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the subject cosmetic containing an amide derivative and a silicone oil, improving water retention of the horny layer, exhibiting an excellent effect on improvement of chapped skin and excellent in feeling in use and stability. In case the above-mentioned components are mixed and stirred according to the conventional method, a stable gel composition can be obtained. In case mixing and stirring are carried out after addition of water, a stable water in oil type emulsion composition can be obtained. The above-mentioned compositions is useful as a milky lotion, a foundation, a hand cream, an ointment base, a sun screen, etc.
