Abstract: A process for preparing glucose-1-phosphate from an alpha -glucan and orthophosphate using a phosphorylase immobilized onto an anion-exchange resin is disclosed. The anion-exchange resin used is a synthetic polymer resin into which an anion exchange group; a primary to quarternary ammonium group, a phosphonium group, or a sulfonium group, is introduced. This type of immobilized phosphorylase ensures (i) an effective utilization of phosphorylase, (ii) a higher reactivity of a higher absorbance of the phosphorylase to the resin, (iii) an excellent phosphorylase activity retention performance, and (iv) a higher physical strength of the resin.

Abstract: Metal salts of monoalkyl phosphates of the following formula (I) in which each R represents a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon group having from 8 to 32 carbon atoms, and M represents an alkaline earth metal or divalent transition metal. The metal salts are particularly suitable as cosmetic powders, fillers for resins, and lubricants, parting agents and pigment dispersants for polymeric compounds. When used as cosmetic powders, the metal salts improve spreadability, moistness, smoothness, adherence, transparency and covering power of cosmetics. Preparation process of the metal salts is also disclosed.

Abstract: Novel phosphoric esters of the general formula (I) in which X represents a halogen, R1 represents a linear or branched alkyl, fluoroalkyl or alkenyl group having from 1 to 36 carbon atoms, or a phenyl group substituted with a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms, R2 represents an alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, n is a value of from 0 to 30, and M represents a hydrogen atom, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium, or an alkylamine or alkanolamine salt are prepared by reacting a salt of a phosphoric monoester of the general formula (II) (II) in which R1, R2 and n have, respectively, the same meanings as defined above, and M1 represents an alkali metal, with an epihalohydrin of the general formula (III) (III) in which X has the same meaning as defined above, and optionally, converting the resulting product into a free acid or a different salt. The phosphoric esters are reacted with a trialkylamine to readily obtain phospholipid simulants having a quaternary ammonium salt in a molecule thereof. When an alkali is acted on the phosphoric esters, the dehydrohalogenation reaction takes place and the esters are converted into a phosphoric ester having a polymerizable group.
