Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the first permanent waving solution, containing an N- acylcysteamine, capable of forming waves in a short time and having high wave forming effects. CONSTITUTION:The first permanent waving solution, obtained by blending (A) an N-acylcysteamine expressed by the formula (R is 2-10C alkyl) as a principal ingredient in preferably 0.1-15wt%, particularly 0.5-10wt% concentration and preferably further another reducing agent conventionally used in the first permanent waving solution, e.g. thioglycolic acid, cysteine, cysteamine, N-acetylcysteine, acid sodium hyposulfite, sodium sulfite, thioglycerol or thiolactic acid, etc., at 1:0.01-100wt. ratio [(A)/(B)] together, capable of synergistically enhancing wave forming ability of the ingredient (A) and having the above-mentioned effects.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled treatment capable of providing semipermanent transformation by application to hair and heating without damaging hair, containing a specific mercapto compound as a reducing agent component. CONSTITUTION:0.01-5wt%, preferably 0.1-2wt% mercapto compound shown by the formula (R is H or 2-11C acyl) as a reducing agent is dissolved in a solvent and adjusted with a buffer substance (preferably combination of water- soluble ammonium salt/ammonia or water-soluble ammonium salt/basic amino acid) to pH 8-10.5 to give the aimed hair transforming treatment of heating type. Further in order to improve wave forming effect and to prevent hair damage, preferably the treatment is blended with a peptide, a bivalent metallic salt, a cationic polymer or an ampholytic polymer. 10-150ml of the composition is applied per time and then the composition is heated to 40-160 deg.C, especially 40-80 deg.C to transform hair.
