The field emitter structure has upper and lower parallel plates made up of a network of pixels having several emitter mechanisms (21). Each mechanism has the grid electrode set to a constant voltage. The pixels are voltage fed by a sweep command circuit (30) commanded from digital words. A thin film transistor (22) applies the high voltage to the pixel network. The pixel network, sweep circuit, digital command and transistor thin film are integrated on a single substrate.

Disclosed are a method for inducing a prediction motion vector and an apparatus using the same. An image decoding method can include: a step of determining the information related to a plurality of spatial candidate prediction motion vectors from peripheral predicted blocks of a predicted target block; and a step of determining the information related to temporal candidate prediction motion vectors on the basis of the information related to the plurality of spatial candidate prediction motion vectors. Accordingly, the present invention can reduce complexity and can enhance coding efficiency when inducing the optimum prediction motion vector.

According to the present invention, an image encoding/decoding method comprises the steps of: performing an intra prediction on a current block so as to generate a prediction block; performing filtering on a filtering target pixel in the prediction block on the basis of the intra prediction mode of the current block so as to generate a final prediction block; and generating a reconstructed block on the basis of a reconstructed differential block corresponding to the current block and on the final prediction block. According to the present invention, image encoding/decoding efficiency can be improved.

The present invention relates to a field emission display in which a gate plate having a gate hole and a gate electrode around the gate hole is formed between an anode plate having phosphor and a cathode plate having a field emitter and a control device for controlling field emission current, wherein the field emitter of the cathode plate is constructed to be opposite to the phosphor of the anode plate through the gate hole. According to the present invention, it is possible to significantly reduce the display row/column driving voltage by applying scan and data signals of the field emission display to the control device of each pixel, and the present invention is directed to improve the brightness of the field emission display in such a manner that the electric field necessary for field emission is applied through the gate electrode of the gate plate to freely control the distance between the anode plate and the cathode plate, so that a high voltage can be applied to the anode.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting a reference picture index of a temporal merging candidate. An inter-picture prediction method using a temporal merging candidate can include the steps of: determining a reference picture index for a current block; and inducing a temporal merging candidate block of the current block and calculating a temporal merging candidate from the temporal merging candidate bock, wherein the reference picture index of the temporal merging candidate can be calculated regardless of whether a block other than the current block is decoded. Accordingly, a video processing speed can be increased and video processing complexity can be reduced.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for encoding and decoding video information. The video information encoding method according to the present invention comprises: a step of performing a prediction on a current block; and a step of entropy-encoding the predicted information and transmitting the encoded information. The step of performing a prediction comprises: a step of acquiring motion information on a neighboring block from the neighboring block of the current block; and a step of determining motion information on the current block on the basis of the acquired motion information. The transmitting step also involves transmitting information required for the prediction of the current block. According to the present invention, the complexity of video compression and the quantity of transmitted information may be reduced.

The present invention relates to an encoding method and decoding method, and a device using the same. The encoding method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: specifying an intra prediction mode for a current block; and scanning a residual signal by intra prediction of the current block, wherein the step of scanning the residual signal can determine a scanning type for a luminance signal and a chroma signal of the current block according to an intra prediction mode for a luminance sample of the current block.
