Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ice making device adopted in a household refrigerator and the like, wherein an ice making pan can readily be mounted, removed or replaced. SOLUTION: This automatic ice making device 23 comprises an ice making pan 25, a drive portion 28 having an output shaft 27 which rotates the ice making pan 25 while holding a recess portion 25a formed in the rear end of a rotary shaft of the ice making pan 25, and an ornamental cover 29 which covers the front surface of the ice making pan 25 and supports a protrusion 25 formed in the front end of the rotary shaft of the ice making pan 25 and a frame 30 which supports the ornamental cover 29 in such a manner that the ornamental cover 29 can be opened or closed. Owing to such a construction, when a door of freezer chamber is opened and then the ornamental cover 29 is opened, a user can readily see the ice making pan 25 so that the user can easily take out the ice making pan 25 toward the user. Furthermore, at the time of mounting the ice making pan 25, the ice making pan 25 is first inserted into the freezer chamber and the recess portion 25a is engaged with the output shaft 27, and then the ornamental cover 29 is closed thus facilitating mounting of the ice making pan 25.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of the title device, to produce the device at low cost, and to lengthen the expected life span of a motor, by a method wherein the device is so composed that the motor and gears are not locked when the horizontal position of an ice- making tray is detected, and that the maximum turning position of the tray and the position of an ice-detecting lever can be detected with one switch only. CONSTITUTION: An ice-detecting lever having an arm 40 to which force is applied so that the arm 40 can be brought into contact with a cam surface on a final gear 16, being connected with an ice-detecting shaft 36 turnably supported, and being put into and out of an ice storage box before an ice-making tray reaches the maximum turning position thereof, and a detecting switch 45 reversely turning a motor 7 so that the tray returns to a horizontal position by the movement of a switch lever 47 are provided. When the final gear 16 is turned in the direction wherein ice is released from the tray, a circumference part being the same as that of a third gear 15 or being slightly larger than that is formed to the third gear 15 so that the circumference part is brought into contact with the tooth point of the first tooth of the final gear 16, and a cut-out part is formed at the specified part on the circumference part so that the third gear 15 is engaged with the first tooth. By the constitution, the maximum turning position of the tray and the position of the ice-detecting lever can be detected by the detecting switch 45 only.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent damage to a load circuit by installing a timer to control a current-carrying time to the coil of an electromagnetic driving system and breaking current-carrying of the coil of a relay when an electric current flows in the coil over a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:When a rated voltage is applied to a coil terminal 27 and a GND terminal 36, the capacitor 40 of an integrating circuit 38 starts charging. Then, a transistor 42 turns on through a Schmitt triger 41 until the output of the circuit 38 reaches a prescribed value, and a current flows to a coil 22 so that terminals 32 and 33 conduct and a load circuit is energized. Then, if a current flows to the coil 22 over a prescribed time, a timer circuit made up of a coil 41, a resistor 44 and a diode 43 cuts off current-carrying to the coil 22 and breaks the load circuit. As a result, it is possible to prevent damage to the load circuit.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To install a circuit breaker on a connector for blade fuse without using a special connector, and to switch a circuit as required by providing an insulating lever, which is supported by a shaft, and which can be placed between one contact terminal plate and a moving contact through the energizing power of a torsion spring or by exterior force. CONSTITUTION:When a circuit is cut as required, a projection part 19a of a lever 19 is pushed. When a circuit is restored, a projection part 19b of the lever is pushed. When an overcurrent is flown in the circuit, and when a bimetal plate 14 is self-heated until it reaches not lower than a preset temperature, it is reversed by a snapping operation. At the same time, the lever 19 is rotated in the right around a supporting hole 19d as a center by the energizing power of a torsion spring 20, and is placed between a contact part 12b and a moving contact 15. Even when the bimetal plate 14 is cooled and is thereby restored, since a tongue part (e) of the lever 19 is higher than the position of the contact part 12b, the moving contact 15 is on the tongue part 19e, and the circuit is cut. To restore the circuit, the projection part for ON of the lever 19 is pushed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow several ten to several hundred minutes for breaking the current in accordance with the magnitude of the current therethrough and make it possible to cut off a load circuit before a lead wire connected to the circuit begins to fume, by providing a heat absorbing block made of inorganic material and a fuse element in the form of a thin film stuck to the surface of the heat absorbing block. CONSTITUTION:Flow of an excess current which is several times as large as its rated current causes a current the value of which is one-half of the excess current to flow through each of fuse element 8, 9 so that an extreme rise in the temperature of each of the fuse elements 8, 9 is prevented. The film of each of the fuse elements 8, 9 is very thin i.e., 18-22mum so that its temperature easily rises, and each of them fuses when its temperature rises to its fusion temperature, thereby breaking the circuit. Each of the fuse elements 8, 9 being stuck to a heat absorbing block, a part of heat generated at each of the heat elements 8, 9 is absorbed by the heat absorbing block 7, so that the time needed for the temperature of each of the elements to reach its fusion temperature ranges from several ten to several hundred minutes in accordance with its current value, which time is from several to several ten times longer than in the case of a glass tube fuse.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a miniture horn switch and to enable standardization by fitting a button which can mount a pad in a metallic case through a spring, then securing a movable contact to the button. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of horn switches are secured through a screw 17 to the conductive portion 1a of a synthetic resin wheel 1. The horn switch comprises a metallic case 12 and a non-conductive button 13 having a pad fixing hole 13a which is held in the case 12. A movable contact 14 is secured to the button 13 at a position facing with the inner button face of the case 12 with one end of a terminal board 15 having the other end projecting to the outside of the case 12 being connected to the movable contact 14, and the button 13 is energized outward by a spring 16. The horn switch is turned ON when a pad 2 is supported by the button 13 then the pad 2 is depressed and the movable contact 15 is contacted with the inner bottom face of the case 12.
