Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water supply device which supplies water from a water storage tank to a predetermined location by a pump, and is compact and capable of fully displaying the function of purifying water. SOLUTION: The water supply device comprises a casing 28 detachably mounted in the water storage tank 22 for sucking to supply water to a predetermined location, a motor 25 for driving an impeller 30 in the casing 28 without contact, a control unit for controlling the drive of the motor 25, and a water purifying filter 31 such that the water purifying filter 31 surrounds a region for a rotation of the impeller 30 in a path in the casing 28 from the impeller 30 to an exhaust port. The water sucked from an inlet port 26 is purified through a wide range of the water purifying filter 31 in the casing 28 surrounding the region for a rotation of the impeller 30.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce ice having a high degree of transparency by a method wherein a vibration energy is set high when an ice making speed determined by a heating amount applied from an upper part of an ice making pan and by a cooling amount applied from a lower part of the ice making pan and in turn when the ice making speed is slow, the vibration energy is set low. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor starts to rotate in concurrent with a production of ice from a lower part of an ice making pan. Its rotation is transmitted by a rotary shaft 33 and a cam 32 is rotated. Once the cam 32 is rotated, an ice making pan 13 is reciprocated. As the ice is being made, the gaseous substances resolved in water are discharged into non-freezed water. However, the ice making pan is vibrated by the stepping motor 31, so that dispersion of the gaseous substances is promoted, not caught by the produced ice, but ice having a high degree of transparency is produced. Vibration energy applied is required to be varied in response to an ice making speed defined by a heating amount given to an upper part of the ice making pan and the cooling amount given from the lower part of the ice making pan. If the speed is fast, the vibration energy is increased and the gaseous substances are promoted in their dispersion with the result that the transparent ice can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an automatic ice making machine from being an ignition source, even when a combustible coolant leaks and fills inside the refrigerator with combustible gas in the automatic ice machine mounted on a refrigerator using the combustible coolant. SOLUTION: A unit comprises an ice checking lever 19 entering an ice storage box 18 and retreating from it by turning, an detecting means 118 generating signal when the ice detecting lever 19 turns for a prescribed amount and a drive unit 11 for driving the ice detecting lever 19 holding the other edge of the turning shaft of an ice tray and the turning shaft of the ice detecting lever 19, and by providing the detecting means 118 with a sealed switch or a non contact switch and providing the drive unit 11 with a motor having no commutator or brush as a driving source, spark is not generated to the outside from the switch or the motor and there is no possibility of igniting combustible coolant even if it should leak out.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform a positive water supplying operation irrespective of the presence of a water film within a water supplying pipe by a method wherein a water supplying pump is operated for a period of first time, thereafter it is operated for a period of second time and either the first time or the second time is set to an operating time for normally supplying water to an ice making device within a range of operating time not supplying water into the ice making container. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a first water supplying timer circuit 38 and a second water supplying timer circuit 39. For example, the first water supplying timer circuit 38 is set to have 1 second and the second water supplying timer circuit 39 is set to a normal water supplying time of 6.5 seconds. Upon operating of a water supplying pump 27 for 1 second with the first water supplying timer circuit 38, an air layer having a high pressure is generated between the extremity end of pumped-up water and the water film in the case that there is a water film formed at a water supplying pipe 29 or at a throat valve of the water supplying pump 27, although once stopping in operation, water entered into the water supplying passage returns into a water receptacle pan, and during this period, a pressure at the air layer is reduced and then the water film is also removed. In addition, the normal water supplying operation is carried out for 6.5 seconds at the second water supplying timer circuit and then a specified amount of water is supplied to the ice making container.
