Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a resource allocation procedure for allocating time-frequency radio resources by a scheduler in a mobile communication system. A plurality of numerology schemes are defined, each partitioning a plurality of radio resources of the mobile communication system into resource scheduling units in a different manner. A reference resource set is defined per numerology scheme, each being associated to a set of radio resources usable for being allocated according to the respective numerology scheme. The reference resource set of at least one numerology scheme overlaps with the reference resource set of at least another numerology scheme in the frequency and/or time domain. The resource allocation procedure is performed for allocating radio resources to one or more user terminals according to the numerology schemes. The resource allocation procedure is performed for each numerology scheme based on a scheduling time interval defined for the respective numerology scheme.

The UE comprises a transceiver which, in operation, receives a configuration of a PoSS (power saving signal) time window for monitoring a PoSS and preceding a DRX (discontinuous reception) ON period for monitoring a PDCCH (physical downlink control channel), wherein the PoSS indicates whether or not the UE starts monitoring for the PDCCH in the DRX ON period and circuitry which, in operation, determines, based on the configuration, the PoSS time window, and controls the transceiver to perform monitoring for the PoSS within the PoSS time window.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user equipment (UE) that comprises a processor that operates a monitoring function that involves monitoring of a downlink control channel of an unlicensed radio cell based on one of a plurality of groups of search space sets (SSS). The unlicensed radio cell operates in an unlicensed spectrum and is controlled by a base station that is in communication with the user equipment. Further, one of the plurality of groups of SSSs is configured to be a default group of SSSs. The processor determines one group of the plurality of SSS groups for performing the monitoring function, depending on the downlink control channel. The monitoring function is not performed during a non-monitoring time period. The processor determines to perform the monitoring function based on the default group of SSSs, when performing the monitoring function subsequent to the non-monitoring time period.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal, a system and respective methods. The user equipment receives a SI configuration for an SI message, the configuration indicating a periodicity at which the SI message is being broadcasted, determines that receiving the SI message, to be broadcasted in one of plural first time windows that are reoccurring at the indicated periodicity, is unsuccessful, and transmits a SI request for the SI message after determining the unsuccessful receipt of the SI message. The SI request includes an indication of the at least one SI message to be broadcasted. Then, the user equipment receives the at least one SI message within at least one second time window occurs after the one of the plural first time windows and before the next of the first time window that is reoccurring at the indicated periodicity, and determines that receiving the SI message is successful.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user equipment, with a processor which upon being triggered by a random access events, determines random access transmission parameters to be used by the UE for transmitting a random access message to its base station. At least part of the random access transmission parameters are determined based on the random access event that triggered the transmission of the random access message and on random access configuration information. The random access configuration information associates each of a plurality of random access events with a set of random access transmission parameters among a plurality of random access transmission parameters usable by the user equipment to transmit a random access message to the base station. A transmitter of the UE transmits the random access message to the base station using the determined random access transmission parameters.
