Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain a fixed ink-jetting direction and obtain favorable printing quality, by equalizing the thicknesses of an upper layer body and a lower layer body of an ink jet head, and providing an intermediate layer body with an orifice. CONSTITUTION:At a side end part of each of an ink chamber plate 23, an orifice plate 24 and an ink inlet port plate 25 is provided a slit 34 extending in a direction perpendicular to the surface of a paper, in a range covering the plates 23-25. The slit 34 defines an ink-jetting opening part J. The ink chamber plate 23 and the ink inlet port plate 25 have the same thickness, and the orifice plate 24 is provided with an orifice O. Therefore, the center line of the orifice O coincides with the center line of the meniscus M of the surface of an ink in the opening part J, irrespective of the accuracy of assembly, so that the ink is jetted from the center of the meniscus M without fail. Accordingly, a fixed ink-jetting direction is maintained, and favorable printing quality can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of uneven density, fogging and irregularities in an image due to a mechanical fluctuation at a contact part between a toner carrier and an electrostatic latent image holding body, and to form an image of good quality even at the time of forming an image of high resolution. SOLUTION: At a developing position where the circumferential surface of a developing roller 10 comes into press contact with the surface of a photoreceptor drum 2, as for a nip pressure P applied to the developer roller 10, the deformation δ of the developing roller 10, and a nip width S as the contact width of the circumferential surface of the developing roller 10 with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 in the circumferential direction, a spring constant P/δ is set within an extent of 2-200, P>1 gf/mm, S>2 mm, P/S (the ratio of the nip pressure P to the nip width S) is set to be 0.5 to 7. The dispersion of the dot diameter of a toner image formed on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 is suppressed, then, the outline of the dot becomes clear.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To sufficiently transport toners without increasing the layer thickness of the toners by applying an AC voltage between an electrode and a toner carrying member and applying the DC voltage of the same electrostatic charge polarity as the polarity of the toner particles between this electrode and this member. CONSTITUTION:A drum base body of the toner carrying member 2 consists of a material having an electrical conductivity and a power source section consisting of an AC power source 5 and a DC power source 6 is connected in series between the toner carrying member 2 and the electrode part 4. The AC voltage and the DC voltage are applied between the electrode part 4 and the toner carrying member 2. The electric field in the direction oscillates between the electrode part 4 and the toner carrying member 2 is applied on the positive electrostatically charged toners 7 by the AC power source 5. The electric field in the direction repulsing the electrode part 4 and approaching the toner carrying member 2 is applied on the positive electrostatically charged toners 7 by the DC power source 6 connected so that the polarity of the electrode part 4 is same as the electrostatic polarity of the toners. Then, the positive electrostatically charged toners 7 are attracted toward the toner carrying member 2 by the DC voltage while toners vibrate toward the surface of the toner carrying member 2, by which the toners are successively compacted on the surface of the toner carrying member 2.
