Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a measuring apparatus having a function of automatically displaying particle size, by arranging a spectroscope section, a function memory means, a dividing means, a computing means and a display means. CONSTITUTION:A spectroscope section 2 measures absorbances Alambda1 and Alambda2 with two wavelengths about a sample of suspension. On the other hand, a function memory 4 memorizes a function g(d)=f(s) about the particle size di of the suspension and the ratio of the absorbances at two wavelengths lambda1 and lambda2, being Si=(Alambda1)i/(Alambda2)i. A dividing means 6 receives inputs of absorbences Alambda1 and Alambda2 from the spectroscope section 2 to calculate the ratio therebetween, being S=Alambda1/Alambda2. Then, a computing means 8 calculates the particle size of an unknown sample from an output of the dividing means 6 based on the function g(d)=f(s) memorized in the function memory means 4 to display 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent dissidence between set conditions of items to be measured and a set of reagents, by attaching additionally a function capable of indicating the set position for each reagent to a titled apparatus when conditions of reagents for each item to be measured are inputted. CONSTITUTION:When all items to be determined such as the number of reagents, points of time when reagents are added, preserving conditions of reagents (e.g., preservation at refrigeration and at room temperature, etc.), the presence or absence of contamination among reagents are successively inputted through an input means 6, judgment of the type of reagent for each item, and judgment of the group of each reagent are made by a judging circuit 8. Then, on the basis of group judging signals for each reagent from the judging circuit 8, the position for each reagent is successively assigned by an assigning circuit 9. In this case, it is preferable that reagents are assigned in the order of frequency in use. These assignments are displayed by a displaying means 10, and recorded by a recording means 11. Thus the operator is merely required to arrange the reagents on each holder 3 on turntables 2 in accordance with the obtained assignation result for each reagent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain high-precision measurement by sending temperature-controlled air up to inspection bodies by providing an air vent at the lower part of the intermediate floor of an automatic analyzer which injects, mixes and measures a sample by sequentially moving suspended inspection bodies. CONSTITUTION:Rotary disk 18 is rotatably supported by support axis 22 fixed on intermediate floor 21 of frame 2. On the lower side of rotary disk 18, cylinder wall 23 with air clearance 23' formed at its circumference shown by 24 in provided on intermediate floor 21 and several air vents are made in the intermediate floor inside of cylinder wall 23. On the reverse surface of intermediate floor 21, cylinder 25 is fitted and blower 26 and radiator 27 are arranged in cylinder 25. Radiator 27 is provided with a heater for a temperature adjustment. Temperature-controlled air blown from radiator 27 flows as shown by arrows, passes through air vents 28 and reaches the lower part of inspection body 8b by circulating. Inspection body 8b will not swing greatly and be maintained at an adequate temperature, so that accurate measurement can be done.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the reproducibility with a low-concn. sample and to enable the decision of whether a prozone or not with a high-concn. sample. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed volume of the sample is added and mixed to and with a specified volume of a reaction reagent in a 1st sample dispensing position S1 and after the 1st optical density corresponding to the component to be detected in the sample is measured, the same sample additionally dispensed to the liquid mixture in the 2nd sample dispensing position S2 at the time of measuring one component to be detected in the sample 1. The same component to be detected is thereby added and introduced into the liquid mixture and reacts with the residual reagent in the liquid mixture, thus changing the optical density. This optical density is measured as the 2nd optical density. The concn. of the component to be detected based on the 1st optical density and the concn. of the same component to be detected based on the 2nd optical density are then calculated and either value is selected as a correct value in accordance with the magnitude of these calculated values. The reproducibility is thereby improved with the low-concn. sample and the prozone or not is decided with the high-concn. sample.
