PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head or the like made to appropriately eject a liquid. SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head 33 ejects the liquid filling liquid chambers 45 from nozzles 71. A nozzle sheet 43 which is installed in the liquid ejection head 33, forms a wall surface of the liquid chamber 45 and is formed of a metal material with the nozzle 71 formed by electrocasting. A primary surface 73 to be at least the liquid chamber side of the nozzle sheet 43 is subjected to hydrophilic treatment by electrolytic polishing, and further subjected to heat treatment. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new liquid composition that can solve a trouble that occurrence of kogation could not be prevented when a former liquid composition comprised of a pigment, water and an organic solvent is used in electro-thermal conversion-type liquid-drop discharge equipment. SOLUTION: The liquid composition comprises a pigment, water and a water-soluble organic solvent and is dischargeable as a droplet using a heating resister. The composition contains either one or both of 3-hexyne-2,5-diol and 3,5-dimethyl-1-hexyne-3-ol. Content of an additive within a range of 0.01-10 mass% is desirable. The liquid composition can prevent occurrence of kogation at a low cost even when the liquid composition is heated and produces a decomposition product of the pigment or such foreign matter as impurities etc., because a film is formed on the surface of the heating resister. As a result, it is realizable for a long period of time that a velocity of discharging the liquid composition is kept high, discharging of the liquid composition drop is kept good, and high quality printing is made possible. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head cartridge which enhances the cleaning capacity of a cleaning means by using a liquid sucking force of a wiping member, generated along with a restoring action of the wiping member after a temporary increase in the amount of elastic deformation of the wiping member, and a liquid ejector. SOLUTION: This head cartridge is equipped with a print head 10 which ejects ink from a plurality of ink ejection nozzles 16 formed on a nozzle surface 12a, and a head cap which cleans the nozzle surface 12a of the print head 10 by relatively moving a porous cleaning roller 21 in the state of bringing the cleaning roller 21 into pressure contact with the nozzle surface 12a along with the elastic deformation. The head cartridge, which is equipped with a protrusion 17 for temporarily increasing the amount of elastic deformation of the cleaning roller 21 in a position on the cleaning-direction near side of the ink ejection nozzle 16, makes the cleaning roller 21 absorb and remove the ink, adhering to the nozzle surface 12a, by a suction force generated along with the elastic deformation restoring action of the of the cleaning roller 21. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording ink which, when used in a thermal inkjet recording, does not cause kogation and therefore allows ink drops to be satisfactorily delivered from an inkjet printer head over a long term. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording ink is prepared by adding an organic phosphonic acid compound of formula (1) to inkjet recording ink containing a dye and water. The content of the organic phosphonic acid compound is desirably 0.01-10 wt.%. SOLUTION: This ink comprises a dye, water, an organic solvent and a rust-preventive agent. Preferably, a compound represented by the formula is included therein as the rust-preventive agent. When the ink is applied to a thermal type printer, a degradation product and an impurity of the dye are prevented from being accumulated on the surface of a heater element to prevent the kogation from being caused because the rust-preventive agent forms a film on the surface of the heater element.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print out an image and the like high in quality and good in water resistance by employing a diluting liquid having added thereto a water-soluble diallyldimethylammonium chloride polymer having a specific structure. SOLUTION: The title diluting liquid is obtained by adding 0.5-20 wt.% of a water-soluble polymer, represented by the formula whose nitrogen atom forms a quaternary ammonium salt in water, such as a diallyldimethylammonium chloride polymer PAS-H or the like to water or a mixture thereof with a water- soluble solvent. An ink is obtained by adding a water-soluble anionic dye such as a direct dye, an acid dye or the like or a cationic dye, a surfactant, an anti-foaming agent, a pH adjusting agent and the like to water having added thereto a solvent such as a monohydric alcohol, a polyhydric alcohol or the like. In an ink jet printer, the ink or the diluting liquid is allowed to ooze out from a second nozzle on a constant quantity side to a first nozzle on an ejection side and to mix with the diluting liquid or the ink in the first nozzle and the resulting diluted ink droplet is flied from the first nozzle onto a recording paper or the like to record an image or the like.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print out an image and the like high in quality and good in water resistance by employing a diluting liquid having added thereto a hydrophilic cationic polymer compound comprising a cationic polymer of a specific structure containing a quaternary ammonium salt group in its side chain. SOLUTION: The title diluting liquid is obtained by adding 0.05-5 wt.% of a cationic polymer containing a quaternary ammonium salt group represented by the formula such as a hydrophilic cationic polymer compound PCQ-1 or the like to water or a mixture thereof with a water-soluble solvent. An ink is obtained by adding a water-soluble anionic dye such as a direct dye, an acid dye or the like or a cationic dye, a surfactant, an anti-foaming agent, a pH adjusting agent and the like to water having added thereto a water-soluble organic solvent such as a polyhydric alcohol or the like.
