    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in the quality of a reproduced audio signal by leading out the audio signal reproduced by other reproduction head in response to an output obtained from a level detection section when a level of an output of a reproduction rotary head reaches a prescribed level or below. CONSTITUTION:Switching sections 59, 60 leading selectively a reproduced audio signal from an inclined track and an audio signal reproduced from an audio track and control sections 71-74 to the switching sections 59, 60 are provided. Then the control sections 71-74 generate a control signal in response to the level of the reproduced audio signal from the inclined track to control the leadout state of the reproduced audio signal from the inclined track of the switching sections 59, 60 or the audio signal reproduced from the audio track. Thus, even when the reproduced audio signal from the inclined track is not properly obtained, an event of deteriorating remarkably the reproduced audio signal left from the switching sections 59, 60 is avoided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To discriminate accurately the presence or absence of the sound signal recorded by sampling the signal component covering from the high band part of a carrier chrominance signal which underwent a low band conversion through the low band part of a luminance signal which underwent the modulation of frequency in a vertical flyback time and detecting the signal level. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a BPF14 is applied to a switch 61, and the signal component is sampled in a vertical flyback time. This signal component is applied to a voltage comparator 65 via a wave detecting circuit 63 and an LPF64 and compared with the reference voltage VR. Thus a discriminating signal SD is delivered. The signal SD is set at a high level when the sound signal is recorded in the direction slant to the tape traveling direction. Otherwise the signal SD is set at a low level. When the signal SD is set at a high level, switches 51L and 51R are switched toward F. The reproduced sound signal L and R are obtained at output terminals 52L and 52R via amplifiers 35L and 35R. When the signal SD is set at a low level, the sound signals sent from fixed heads 71L and 71R are obtained at output terminals 52L and 52R respectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in a sound signal because of the generation of side band of a video signal, by detecting that a side band component of the video signal is generated in a channel of the sound signal, and extracting the signal of other channels in place of the signal of the channel having the side band component. CONSTITUTION:When the side band of the video signal takes place, the component at the outside of the sound band is extracted at HPFs 31L, 31R and detected at level discriminating circuits 32L, 32R. Since this sound distortion is generated only a channel and the other channels receive no effect, the abnormal sound due to the sound distortion is eliminated by replacing the signal from a signal of other channels. The switching is attained with the switch circuits 30L, 30R driven with the output of the discriminating circuits 32L, 32R. Thus, the sound signal is monaural during this switching, but no problem is arisen because of too short time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in the quality of video signals remarkably, by eliminating the sound signal only at the 1st and 2nd band rejection filters from a reproduced output obtained from the 1st and 2nd tracks. CONSTITUTION:The signal component only of the sound signal in the 1st track is eliminated at the 1st band rejection filter 71A from a reproduced output SA obtained from the 1st track and the signal component only of the band of the sound signal in the track is eliminated at the 1nd band rejection filter 71B from a reproduced output SB obtained from the 2nd track. Thus, as to the 1st track, the component of the frequency-modulated luminance signal YF is picked up with being extended to low frequency maximum and as to the 2nd track, the component of a chrominance carrier signal CL of low frequency conversion is picked up with being extended maximum toward the high frequency, and the missing of information of the video signal is minimized and the deterioration of the quality of the video signal is reduced remarkably.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To record the video signal with high density and at the same time to prevent the quality deterioration of the sound signal, by giving a control so that the recording level of the FM-modulated sound signal is varied contrary to the level change of the original sound signal. CONSTITUTION:For the left and right signals SL ans SR of the stereo sound signals supplied through sound input terminals 1 and 2, the modulated output occupying the frequency band different from the video frequency band is set by the frequency modulators 6 and 7 respectively. While a level detector 21 detects the level of the sound signal and produces an output in response to the detected level. Based on this output, the level control parts 17 and 19 change the levels of the modulated outputs given from the modulators 6 and 7 in a contrary way to the level change of the sound signal. This modulated output is mixed 24 with the outputs of the parts 17 and 19. This output signal of mixture is recorded on a recording medium by the recording head parts 30 and 32.
