Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of reducing labor required for sorting photographic papers. SOLUTION: A plurality of images to be printed are successively printed on the photographic papers, and when discharging the photographic papers with the images printed thereon one by one, a predetermined partition is inserted between the photographic papers forming the predetermined division out of the photographic papers to be discharged one by one. Since the discharged photographic papers need not be sorted by the kind, the labor required for sorting the photographic papers can be reduced, and convenience can be considerably improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a printer that can press a head efficiently into touch with a platen. SOLUTION: A printer in which a head is pressed to a platen with a predetermined first press force thereby carrying out printing is provided with an expansible elastic member 94 which is set to have an elastic force at an initial state to be nearly equal to or slightly smaller than the first press force, and a press means for pressing the head into touch with the platen via the elastic means 94. A driving force of the press means before the elastic means 94 exerts the elastic force nearly equal to or slightly smaller than the first press force can be saved, so that the head can be efficiently pressed into touch with the platen in the realized printer apparatus.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a printer capable of easily discharging jammed printing paper outside the printer and correctly leading fed printing paper to a specific path by a method wherein a printing paper feeding mechanism and a printing head moving mechanism are not operated in conjunction with each other but independently of each other in a color video printer. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 418 of one gear is provided with a paper supply cam 416 and a release cam. The former rotates a paper supply arm 204 for supplying printing paper 202 contained in a tray 200 and a locking claw 209 for preventing the removal of the tray 200. The latter depresses a separation roller on a paper supply roller 212 through a release lever for feeding the printing paper 202 into a printer, opens/closes a shutter 221, and depresses a pinch roller on a capstan 410 for feeding the printing paper 202 to a printing position.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a printer preventing the inadvertent opening of a ribbon during the printing operation of the printer and allowing a ribbon cassette to be easily loaded/unloaded without being obstructed by a pendulum gear in a color video printer. CONSTITUTION:In any state other than an initial state for starting a printing operation, a locking lever 332 slides to a position under a locking claw 421 through a cam lever 328 in conjunction with the rotation of a cam for traveling a printing head, thereby holding the locking claw 421 in a locked state even if a door unlocking button is operated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of creases in an ink ribbon, and thus enable photographic print with high quality to be effected stably by restraining the variation of tension due to the ribbon winding diameter, and rendering tension constant. CONSTITUTION:The printer is generally constituted of a ribbon conducting brake mechanism 170 available for retaining the tension of an ink ribbon at a constant level during photographic print, a ribbon guide roller 172 for introducing an ink ribbon between the platen and the head 140, and a brake roller 177 to be in contact with the ribbon guide roller 172 for holding the ink ribbon. Also, it is constituted in such a manner that when the head 140 moves reciprocally to the side of the platen by a head driving mechanism 150, the ribbon guide roller 172 of the ribbon guide brake mechanism 170 and the brake roller 177 are interlocked so that these respective rollers 172 and 177 are capable of coming into contact or separating with/from each other.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation around a grooved notch of a platen where a paper chucking plate elevates therethrough, and to thereby avoid the occurrence of uneven color tone on the printing paper during print by reinforcing, through adhesion-coating, the notched inner part of the platen with a metallic reinforcing plate having higher hardness than that of the platen. CONSTITUTION:A rubber-made cylindrical platen 100 is featured such that a shaft 101 is permitted to projectingly penetrate the center of a side surface 100a and a grooved notch 100c is formed on the outer peripheral surface 100b substantially in parallel with the shaft 101. Within the notch 100c, a paper chucking plate 105 is provided elevatingly and, during the descent of the paper chucking plate 105, a photo-printing paper 9 is brought into chucking between the plate 105 and the outer peripheral surface 100b of the platen 100. Then, a driving gear 119 for turning the platen 100 is secured to the shaft 101 of the platen 100. Herein, the inner part of the notch 100c of the platen 100 is reinforced, through adhesion-coating, with a metallic reinforcing plate 103 having higher hardness than that of the platen 100. As a result, there never occurs any uneven color tone on the photo-printing paper during the photo-printing period.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make information obtainable easily when reading kinds, sizes, sensitivities, etc., of ink films before printing by a method wherein information marks are detected only by turning a ring without turning a spool while keeping the spool in the state of stoppage. CONSTITUTION:In an ink ribbon 10 that is made up of an ink film 11 coated with inks Y(yellow), M(magenta) and C(cyan) and a synthetic resin supply spool 20 to which the ink film 11 is wound up, a synthetic resin ring 30 is supported with a shaft 24 of the supply spool 20 so that the ring can turn freely. Information marks 33 indicating the information about the amount of turning of the ring 30 and information marks 34 indicating the information about the ink film are respectively printed in black-and-white bar code style on the outer peripheral surface of the ring 30.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To print letters clearly on the rear face of a photographic paper or a margin by a photoprinting device for photoprinting an image. CONSTITUTION:An ink layer 6 for melt transfer printing of high grade with sufficient density on a body to be transferred without a dye receiving layer is added to a basic ink ribbon format consisting of a base film 4 on which a yellow sublimation ink layer 1, a magenta sublimation ink layer 2 and a cyan sublimation ink layer 3 coated successively. Letters or the like can be printed clearly on a surface of a photographic paper or a rear face of a photographic paper without the dye receiving layer by using the ink layer 6 for melt transfer for printing letters or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform clear printing and secure supply of printing papers to a printing part by one sheet at a time to the last sheet, by covering the printing side of the lowermost one of the printing sheet with a sheet having substantially the same shape as that of the printing paper and provided with data indicative of inhibition of paper supply. CONSTITUTION:The printing side 5a of the lowermost one 5 of a plurality of printing papers 5 stacked is covered with a sheet 23, so that the printing side 5a of the lowermost printing paper 5 is not stained with fingerprints or the like when the stack of the papers is placed into a paper-supplying tray 14, and clear printing can be performed. The lowermost printing paper 5 is not supplied together with the second lowest printing paper 5. The printing papers 5 placed on a bottom plate 15 of the tray 14 can be fed securely and smoothly to a printing part 4 by one sheet at a time to the last one, by pressing the papers 5 against a paper-supplying roller 6 with a constantly fixed pressure by a turning of a paper-supplying lever 16 and an energizing force of a torsion spring 19.
