    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability at the reproduction of contents recorded by air check. SOLUTION: A reception timing for text information in a specific form corresponding to music name information among various kinds of text information is identified. The music name information is transmitted at the start of broadcasting of the music, and therefore the reception timing corresponds to a timing at which the music is started in the broadcasting. In recording the broadcast sound, therefore, points (addresses on the disk) corresponding to the timings are made program separation points TM1-TM4, whereby the track on which broadcast sound is recorded is divided to tracks (TK1-TK5) by the start points of the music, thus enabling an access to the start of the music at the reproduction time.

Thereby, even when storage capacity of the RAM 13 is 1 M bit, data of full capacity can be stored in the RAM 13 for 0.9 seconds from start of reproducing, data can be outputted for three seconds without supplying data from the disk 1, reproducing output is continued until reading out data is started again even if a tracking servo and a focus servo are in off-state, and interruption of sound is prevented.

When the compression mode is switched selectively by the compression mode selection means 7 in recording, buffering between input data and actual recording data is performed by the storage means 14. Thereby, it is possible to simplify the circuit configuration and to minimize the number of times of change of the processing.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue recording or reproducing data while securing continuity in the data even when abnormalities happen in recording or reproducing operations such as track jumps.
    SOLUTION: If an abnormality detector 30 detects a track jump when recording data on an optical disc 2, data read to the memory 14 is stopped until the operation returns normal based on the detected track jump. When the read is resumed to memory 14, data are recorded on an optical disc 2 seamlessly over the stop time caused by the track jump based on the recording position control of the optical disc 2 by a system controller 7. Then, the sound frame is known to be the sound frame of the L channel data captured at the time the identification signal is supplied in the decoder section 14 and thereafter, the processing is successively executed as the R, L and R channels by every sound frame to be captured thereafter and, therefore, the erroneous processing of L as R does not occur.
