Abstract:
An optical disk recording apparatus includes an optical pickup (6) that emits laser light to illuminate a recording surface (2A) of an optical disk (2), receives reflected light resulting from the laser light reflected off the recording surface (2A), and generates a light reception signal based on the thus received reflected light; a laser power controller that sets a laser power setting and controls the power of the laser light emitted from the optical pickup based on the thus set laser power setting; and a signal generator (9) that, when a plurality of trial write areas provided on the recording surface of the optical disk are successively illuminated with the laser light in order to write trial write data, generates a timing notification signal that notifies laser arrival timing when the laser light sequentially reaches trial write start positions of the plurality of trial write areas based on the light reception signal generated by the optical pickup (6).
Abstract:
An optical recording method for recording data on an optical disc by using a laser beam. When an optical disc is inserted into an optical recording device (step S1), a power calibration area (PCA) is searched so as to be used for optimum power calibration (OPC) on the optical disc. At the position found, an optical pickup is made to wait (step S4). After this, when a data recording operation input is received (step S6), the OPC operation is executed at the wait position (step S7) and optimum power is obtained. After this, the optical pickup is moved to the data recording area of the optical disc (step S10) and data is recorded in the data recording area of the optical disc by the optical pickup (step S11).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and optical recording medium driving unit with a simple and compact configuration for detecting a proper track error signal in which effect of a stray light between layers is reduced. SOLUTION: The optical pickup comprises photo detectors 9 and 10, and generates the track error signal Tr according to (A-D)-ma((B1+B2)-(C1+C2)) (ma is a coefficient set based on a ratio of tilt of a DC offset corresponding to a lens shift in the radial direction) based on a differential signal (A-D) of light receiving signals A and D from a split light receiving element of the photo detector and a differential signal {(B1+B2)-(C1+C2)} of each sum signal of the light receiving element signals B1 and B2 and C1 and C2. Especially when recording or reproducing one of the recording layers of a double layer disk, the coefficient ma is corrected to be smaller than the correction coefficient set based on the ratio of the tilt of the DC offset corresponding to the lens shift in the radial direction. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce track error offset caused by variation of layer thickness of optical disks by digital processing without adopting a special optical system configuration. SOLUTION: This optical disk device includes a signal processing part which generates a track error signal Tr according to Tr=(A-D)-ma{(B1+B2)-(C1+C2)} based on differential signals (A-D) showing a difference between respective light receiving element signals A and D of divided light receiving elements, differential signals {(B1+B2)-(C1+C2)} showing a difference of respective sum signals of C1 and C2, and a coefficient ma set based on a ratio of tilt of DC offset in accordance with lens shift for a predetermined direction. The signal processing part sets the coefficient ma based on a radial position of the recording medium when recording or reproducing is performed for a predetermined recording layer of the optical recording medium. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write test-write data using respectively and effectively individual test-write region. SOLUTION: When test-write data are written continuously in a plurality of test-write regions 23 provided in a recording plane 2A of an optical disk 2, a timing notification signal CL notifying laser arrival timing at which laser beams L1 reach successively a test-write start position of the plurality of test-write regions 23 is generated based on a light receiving signal obtained from an optical pickup part 6, when the laser arrival timing is notified by the timing notification signal CL, an own laser intensity setting value is switched and set, and intensity of the laser beam L1 emitted from the optical pickup part 6 is controlled. Thereby, intensity of the laser beam L1 is switched in laser arrival timing at which respective laser beams L1 reach the test-write start positions of a plurality of test-write regions 23 and test-write can be performed, test-write data can be written using effectively individual test-write region. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a video and a sound with proper recording power without interruption by shortening a time for measuring optimum recording power and improving the accuracy of the optimum recording power. SOLUTION: When an optical recording medium is inserted into an optical recorder (step S1), a test writing area OPC (power calibration area) that can be used for an OPC (optimum power calibration) on the optical recording medium is searched, and an optical pickup is made to wait at the place of the test writing area (step S4). When a data recording operation input is received (step S6), an OPC operation is performed at the place (step S7), and when the optimum power is obtained, the optical pickup is moved to a data recording area on the optical recording area (step S10) to record data on the data recording area of the optical recording medium by the optical pickup (step S11). Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability when air-checked contents are reproduced. SOLUTION: Among various types of information data which are character information data which are read out at the time of reproduction, the character information data corresponding to title information data are identified as specific types. As the title information data are transmitted when the broadcast of a music is started and recorded simultaneously, the address of the sound data of the starting part of a certain music can be estimated from an address in which the title information data are stored. Therefore, if program segmentation points TM1-TM4 are set in accordance with the address of the title information data concerning the recorded broadcast sound, one track as the recorded broadcast sound is edited and divided into a plurality of tracks (TK1-TK5) at the starting point of the music. With this constitution, the starting point of the music can be accessed at the time of reproduction afterwards.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability at the reproduction of contents recorded by air check. SOLUTION: A reception timing for text information in a specific form corresponding to music name information among various kinds of text information is identified. The music name information is transmitted at the start of broadcasting of the music, and therefore the reception timing corresponds to a timing at which the music is started in the broadcasting. In recording the broadcast sound, therefore, points (addresses on the disk) corresponding to the timings are made program separation points TM1-TM4, whereby the track on which broadcast sound is recorded is divided to tracks (TK1-TK5) by the start points of the music, thus enabling an access to the start of the music at the reproduction time.
