Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure a position with high accuracy even in the case of variation in outside temperature by providing a detecting device which detects temperature nearby a position sensor and correcting the output signal of the position sensor with the output signal of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:The eddy current type proximity position sensor 31 which is of the same type and has the same characteristics with the eddy current type proximity position sensor 1 and a measurement plate 34 are provided to a reference base 3 nearby the sensor 1. The sensor 31 outputs a signal SA corresponding to the distance l3 between the sensor and measurement plate 34 and the signal is converted into a digital signal, which is supplied to a signal processing circuit 23. The signal processing circuit 23 multiplies the result obtained by subtracting the signal SA from the signal SB by a coefficient to calculate the distance l4 to the surface of a measurement plate 6 on the side of the sensor 1, i.e. the height measurement position 11a of a tape guide 11. In this case, the distance l4 is not affected by variation in outside temperature.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform saving of reading means when necessary and only when necessary, by devising installation positions of three-axis acceleration sensors and thereby exactly reading a falling state with an inexpensive configuration.
SOLUTION: A recording medium recording and/or reproducing device 10 is provided with a hard disk drive 40 having a head (reading means ) 43c for reading a recording medium 41 and a signal of the recording medium; a forcing means 70 for forcibly preventing the above head from coming into contact with the above recording medium; a deciding means 60 for outputting an operation signal for the above forcing means when a variation below a certain composite vector value of accelerations in the three-axial directions crossing at right angles to each other at the center of gravity position c; two pieces of three-axis acceleration sensors S1, S2 which are positioned apart from the center of gravity position c, respectively, and are also positioned sufficiently apart from each other; and an arithmetic operation means 50 for calculating the composite vector at the center of gravity position from the outputs of the above two three-axis acceleration sensors and also outputting the calculation result to the above deciding means.

SOLUTION: This portable electronic equipment on which a hard disk is mounted, for example, a portable audio player 10, comprises an equipment main body part 40 in which a hard disk 50 is mounted, a headphone 20 which is connected to the equipment main body part 40, a detection means (CPU) 43a for detecting the presence/no presence of connection of the headphone 20 with the equipment main body part 40, and a retracting means (CPU) 43a for retracting the head 53 of the hard disk 50. When the detection means detects that the connection of the headphone 20 with the equipment main body part 40 is lost, the retracting means retracts the head 53 of the hard disk 50 to the state that it does not collide with the recording surface 51a of a magnetic disk 51.

In this way, each liquefied sublimating dye 12 ' held in each liquid dye holder 22 is vaporized. The vaporized disperse dyes Y, M, C of the sublimating disperse dyes 12'' are transferred in order of Y M C to the dye receiving layer of photographic paper 50 fed between a plane base 4 and a protective layer 13 to give a color print.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To continuously and uniformly supply an adequate amount of liquid dye to a vaporization section by a constitution wherein a pellet type buffet means that is made of a material having good wettability for the liquid dye is provided in at least one part of the passage for supplying the liquid dye. CONSTITUTION:A vaporization section 3, a buffer section 10A and a supply passage 5 of a liquid dye each surrounded by a heat insulating material are formed in an inner section of a head base 1. On each upper section in the supply passage 5 and buffer section 10A, heaters are provided respectively. A heating section 14 is provided in an upper section of the vaporization section 3 and ejection nozzles 8 for vaporization dye are provided on a lower section thereof. In each of connecting sections among the supply passage 5, buffer section IOA and vaporization section 3, thin passages 5A, 58 for passing the liquid dye 9A therethrough are formed. A multiple of small spherical-shaped buffer members 9 each is made of a material having good wettability for the liquid dye 9A are filled in inner sections of the vaporization section 3 and buffer section 10A, respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a reduction of a printing time and free setting of the size of photographic paper, by a method wherein powdery and granular evaporating dyes supplied from a supply part are evaporated by applying evaporating heat to the dyes by an evaporating part and the evaporated dyes are allow to adhere to photographic paper. CONSTITUTION:A paint pack 10 is formed so that paints obtained by mixing up evaporated paints each and a dispersant which is compatible with the evaporated paints with each other and making them into powdery and granular state are held into separate tanks. In the first portion 20 of supply of the paints, respective powdery evaporating paints are moved unidirectionally from the paint pack 10 and the powdery and granular evaporating paints are received in the latter part 40 of the supply of the paints. When the powdery evaporated paints are supplied to the evaporating part in the latter part 40 of the supply of the paints, in the evaporating part, the granular and powdery evaporating paints are evaporated by heating by evaporating heat by applying laser beams to them from a laser block 50. Then the evaporated evaporating paints coats photographic paper 1. Consequently, electric power saving, miniaturization and a low cost can be realized and a reduction of a printing time and free setting of the size of photographic paper become possible.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To conduct heat generated by heating resistors concentratedly only toward printing paper by coating the heating elements of a thermal head with a protective film having an anisotropism in thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION:Heating resistors 2a, 2b, 2c, and 2d of a heating resistor layer are coated with a protective layer 7 in five directions other than their bottoms. An arrow thetaa shown near the heating resistor 2c indicates a flux of heat directed upward in the cross section (toward printing paper). Arrows thetab represent fluxes of heat direction obliquely in the cross section toward the other heating resistors 2b and 2c. In addition, an arrow thetac indicates a flux of heat directed downward in the cross section (toward a glazing layer 3). It is required that the protective film 7 is made of a material having an anisotropism in thermal conductivity, such as a material increasing the magnitude of the heat flux indicated by the arrow thetaa and decreasing the magnitude of the heat flux indicated by the arrow thetab. In this manner, the heat efficiency for printing is enhanced, and energy can be saved as a whole.
