    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide efficient software of less erroneous operation by discriminating the adjustment mode after power-on to automatically switch the mode to the adjustment mode. CONSTITUTION: When a plug 32 of a commander 26 is connected to a jack 33, a terminal SR of the jack 33 is grounded, and thereby, the adjustment mode is discriminated. Then, an adjustment mode flag is turned on, and average initialization data of each circuit part which is preliminarily written in a partial area of the ROM of a microcomputer 20 is read out. Each circuit part is set based on this data. When the remote control signal generated from a microcomputer 26B of the commander 26 is inputted through a terminal IR of the jack 33, set data of each set is adjusted based on this signal. Adjusted set data of each circuit part is written in a nonvolatile memory 23. Thus, the adjustment mode is discriminated by the microcomputer 20 at the time of power-on by connecting the plug 32 of the commander 26 to the jack 33, and the mode is automatically switched to the adjustment mode.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the video included in a television program but not desirous to young people from being viewed without fail from the beginning to the end of the program on the side of a television receiver. CONSTITUTION:A television receiver is provided with a mosaic processing circuit 43 and a switchover circuit 424 for selecting either one of the provided video as is and the video for which a mosaic processing is performed. On the side of a braodcasting station, the section of the video which is not desirous is picked up, and switchover information for switching the switchover circuit 424 to the side of the mosaic processing circuit is multiplexed on the television signal in the video section, to be broadcasted. The extraction circuit 50 of the television receiver extracts the switchover information. By the extracted switchover information, the switchover circuit 424 is switched. In the video section where the switchover signal is multiplexed, the video for which the mosaic processing is performed is outputted to a screen.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce bad influence exerted on a picture quality due to a detecting pulse, by inserting the detecting pulse of a prescribed level into a video signal only in a period for detecting a white balance state. CONSTITUTION:From a detecting pulse path 32, a detecting pulse is supplied to adders 10R, 10G and 10B, respectively, and added to three primary color signals R, G, and B, and b a current measuring circuit 33 which has been connected to the respective cathodes of red, green and blue of an image receiving tube 13 by a timing of the detecting pulse, a cut-off current and a drive current of the cathodes of red, green and blue, and a leakage current of an image output stage are measured, and supplied to a microcomputer 20. By the microcomputer 20, amplifiers 11R-11B are controlled through an amplifier controlling circuit 11, and cut-off and drive quantities of red, green and blue are controlled in the direction where a white balance is taken. After 12sec, after 1min, etc. from the time when a power source has been turned on, a white balance adjustment is executed, and in other period, the level of the detecting pulse is lowered.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the ease of use and to prevent mis-operation by applying a discriminating signal to a main body to bring the main body to the adjustment mode in connecting an adjustment commander to the main body via a cord and also applying an adjustment control signal.
    CONSTITUTION: The adjustment commander 26 is connected to the main body via a cord 31 and connectors 32, 33. A microcomputer 20 discriminates it as the adjustment mode when a signal from the terminal SR of a jack 33 is at a common level so as to set an adjustment mode flag thereby setting each circuit section based on the initial setting data to each circuit section. When a control signal from a microcomputer 26B is inputted, the setting data at each set is adjusted and written in the memory 23. Then the adjustment mode flag is reset by depressing the adjustment end key of the commander 26.
