    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element in which color purity is high, and which is highly reliable in the long term.
    SOLUTION: This is the organic EL element (organic electroluminescent element) 1 in which an organic layer 4 is pinched between the lower part electrode (positive electrode) 3 and the upper part electrode (negative electrode) 5, and the organic layer 4 is composed by laminating a positive hole transport layer 401, both charge transportation nature light-emitting layers 402, an electronic transportation nature light-emitting layer 403, and an electron transport layer 404 in this order from the positive electrode side. An energy gap of the luminescent center of the both charge transportation nature light-emitting layers 402 and the electronic transportation nature light-emitting layer 403 is larger than the energy gap of an electronic transportation nature material constituting the electron transport layer 404.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display capable of reducing the resistance of an electrode on the scanning side and power consumption and allowing high- luminance display. SOLUTION: This organic EL display 20 is provided with stripe-like first electrodes 22, an insulating layer 23 formed with multiple opening sections 24 with a nearly rectangular shape in the plan view on the first electrodes 22, organic layers 25a-25c, and stripe-like second electrodes 26 on a transparent substrate 21. The first electrodes 22 and the second electrodes 26 are arranged nearly perpendicularly to each other. The opening sections 24 of the insulating layer 23 are provided at intersections between the first electrodes 22 and the second electrodes 26, and the inner wall faces of the opening sections 24 are formed into a tapered shape. The organic layers 25a-25c are nearly independently provided in an island shape with the opening sections 24 buried. The width w3 of each upper face of the organic layers 25a-25c is made wider than the width w2 of the first electrodes 22. The second electrodes 26 are formed to cover the upper face side of the organic layers 25a-25c.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which can lessen resistance of an electrode on the scanning side, heighten the effective utilization of the light emitted from an organic layer, and prevent short-circuiting between a positive and a negative electrode. SOLUTION: On a transparent base board 21, a plurality of first electrodes 22 in striped form made of a transparent electroconductive material, an organic layer 25 having a layer consisting of an organic light emitting material, and a plurality of second electrode strips 26 made of metal or its alloy are provided one over another in the sequence as named so that an optical element 20 is formed. Between each first electrode 22 and organic layer 25, an insulating layer 23 is provided being furnished with an opening 24 for generating their mutual communication. The first electrodes 22 are positioned approx. perpendicularly to each second electrodes 26. Each organic layer 25 is formed at the intersection of the first 22 and second electrodes 26 in the shape of independent island and located within the width of the first electrode 22 when viewed on the plan. The opening 24 is made in a size smaller than the plan of the organic layer 25 and covered with the organic layer 25.

The organic layers 18a, 18b, 18c are produced by a light irradiating dry etching method whereby an organic substance layer 12 is irradiated with light so that patterning is made.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a laser display device capable of reducing speckle noise by a simple constitution without requiring a driving part for driving a screen part and capable of securing necessary resolution. CONSTITUTION:The screen part is provided with a renticular lens 12 consisting of periodically arraying cylindrical lenses in the scanning direction of laser beams and a volume diffusion plate 13 arranged on the focus position of the lens 12. A laser beam is refracted by each cylindrical lens of the lens 12 and converged upon its focus. In accordance with the advancement of scanning based upon laser beams, an incident angle upon the focus is changed and a speckle pattern is also changed. Since the speckle pattern to be changed with the lapse of time is integrated on the spatially same position in the plate 13, speckle noise can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of a magneto-optical recording magnetic layer and to stabilize the characteristics thereof by constituting a metallic reflecting layer of a metal baser in corrosion potential than the magneto-optical recording magnetic layer and bringing a part of this metallic reflecting layer into contact with the recording magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:This disk has the structure successively laminated with a 1st protective dielectric layer 2 consisting of a nitrogen compd., the amorphous magneto-optical recording magnetic layer 3 having the perpendicular axis of easy magnetization, a 2nd protective dielectric layer 4 consisting of a nitrogen compd., and the metallic reflecting layer 5 on a transparent substrate 1. The metallic reflecting layer 5 is constituted of the metallic layer baser in corrosion potential, i.e. electrochemically than the magneto-optical recording magnetic layer 3 and is so formed that a part thereof comes into contact with the magneto-optical recording megnetic layer 3. Since the potential of the magneto- optical recording magnetic layer 3 is easily shifted to the baser potential, the corrosion thereof is effectively averted. The magneto-optical disk which does not corrode in spite of the long-term exposure to high-temp. and high-humidity environment and has excellent corrosion resistance is formed in this way.
