Abstract: An adjustable lift-off hinge comprises a support member having a longitudinal axis mounted onto a frame. A knuckle assembly mounted onto a door is provided having a longitudinal adjustable knuckle member rotatably coupled to the support member along the longitudinal axis, and a longitudinal fixed base member having a convex outer surface pivotally connected to a longitudinal side of the adjustable knuckle member. Means for pivotally coupling the fixed base member to the adjustable knuckle member are provided. Means for rotatably coupling the adjustable knuckle member to the support member are also provided.

Abstract: A rotary operated latch of the "lift and turn" fastener type is disclosed having a cam action in the handle such that when the handle is moved to a latched position, it provides a pull on the pawl to compress a door or panel against a door or panel frame, or its gasket, to provide a tight seal. An over-center action prevents accidental release. A slot and pin arrangement prevents moving the handle to a latched position, except when the pin and slot are aligned. While the pawl and handle are normally rotatable relative to a sleeve in the door or panel which carries the mechanism, the pin and slot are so located as to be incapable of sufficient axial relative movement to move the handle into a latched position, except when the pawl is rotatably positioned for movement into a latched position.

Abstract: A draw pull latch for securing two members together comprises a keeper affixed to one of the members and a second one-piece part which is composed of three segments; i.e., a base segment, an intermediate segment, and a locking segment. The base segment is adapted for being affixed to the second one of the members and the intermediate segment is flexibly connected to the base segment and the locking segment for pivotal movement of the segments about transverse axes. When in the locked condition, the intermediate segment is disposed in substantially coplanar relation to the base segment, and the locking segment is disposed in overlying relation to the base segment and the intermediate segment and to the keeper. The locking segment is detachably connected to the keeper, and the flexible connection between the intermediate and locking segments is closer to the second member than the flexible connection between the intermediate and base segments. The base segment has recesses in the sides thereof which mate with lugs in the cavity of the locking segment. A secondary locking feature is provided by use of an angular catch member disposed between the one-piece part and the second member and having a leg portion extending through the locking segment whereby the locking segment is retained in the latched condition. A finger notch is provided on the locking segment which, along with the outwardly extending edge of the catch member facilitates the opening of the latch, when desired.

Abstract: A remote latching mechanism is provided having a connecting member, preferably a cylindrical rod, means for rotating the connecting member about its longitudinal axis, and a latch assembly connected to the connecting member for movement between latched and unlatched conditions in response to the rotation of the connecting member. Abstract: A rotationally actuated bolt of the fastening device of the "lift-and-turn" type is described, with cam activity in the handle, such that, when the handle is moved into a locked position, it exerts a pull on the pawl, in order to press a door or wall against a door or wall frame or its seal, so as to ensure a sealing-off. Jump activity prevents accidental release. An arrangement with a slot and pin prevents the movement of the handle into a locked position, except when the pin and slot are in alignment. Whilst the bolt and the handle are normally rotatable relative to a sleeve in the door or wall which carries the mechanism, the pin and the slot are arranged in such a way that, for a sufficient axial relative movement, they are not capable of moving the handle into a locked position, except when the pawl is positioned by rotation for movement into a locked position.
