    Abstract: PURPOSE: To extend the distance among three detectors to form them on the same semiconductor substrate, by providing a phase type diffraction grating in the optical path and irradiating photodetectors through a concave lens with reflected beams of 0-order and ±1-order diffracted lights.
    CONSTITUTION: A phase type diffraction grating 3 is arranged in the optical path between a semiconductor laser light source 1 and a beam splitter 4. A beam 2 from the light source 1 is separated to a 0-order diffracted beam 2a and ±1- order diffracted beams 2b and 2c by the diffraction grating 3, and reflected beams are made incident to photodetectors 10, 11, and 12 through a concave lens 9. A tracking error signal is obtained on a basis of the difference between outputs of photodetectors 11 and 12. By arranging this concave lens 9, lengths among three photodetectors 10W12 are extended and adjusted easily, and three photodetectors are formed easily on the single semiconductor substrate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to assure the prescribed amt. of the distance between an optical disk and an objective lens even with the optical disk of a relatively large size and even if this optical disk is a large size and to reduce the size over the entire part of an optical system by disposing a concave lens between a beam splitter and a reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION: The beam splitter 13 introduces the light beam emitted from a semiconductor laser element 10 toward the optical disk and separates the light beam reflected by an optical disk surface 17 from the optical path from this semiconductor laser element 10. A photodetector 21 receives the reflected beam from the optical disk separated by the beam splitter 13. A concave lens 22 is disposed between the objective lens 16 and the beam splitter 13 via a λ/4 plate 15 and a reflection mirror 14. As a result, the diameter of the incident luminous flux on the objective lens 16 is made large by the effect of this concave lens 22 and the required amt. of the distance between the optical disk and the objective lens is assured. In addition, the semiconductor element and the optical system on the photodetector side are made small with respect to the conave lens.

Then, the 1st coil 14 wound around the bobbin 13, the 2nd coil consisting of plural rectangular coils 15a and 15b which are attached to the bobbin 13, magnetic cores 16a and 16b constituting a common magnetic circuit which acts to the coils 15a and 15b, and a magnet 17 are provided. One of the winding parts R of the coils 15a and 15b orthogonally crossed with the coil 14 is disposed in a non- magnetic field part and a focusing servo signal is given to the coil 14. By moving the moving part along the optical axis of the lens 4, the focusing servo is executed. By giving a tracking servo signal to the coils 15a and 15b, the moving part is turned to execute the tracking servo.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate easy increase and control of distances among three photodetectors by setting a concave lens between a beam splitter and the 1st and 2nd secondary photodetectors. CONSTITUTION:A phase type diffraction grating 3 is set into an optical path between a laser light source 1 and a collimator lens 5, i.e., between the light source 1 and a beam splitter 4. The 1st and 2nd secondary photodetectors 11 and 12 detect the +1 and -1 primary diffracted beams 2b and 2c respectively. A zero degree diffracted beam 2a is made incident on a main photodetector 10 via a semicolumnar lens 13. The space among focus positions of beams 2a-2c, i.e., the spaces among detectors 10-12 can be increased with control with use of a concave lens 9. A tracking error signal is obtained from the difference between detection outputs of both detectors 11 and 12.

CONSTITUTION:A moving body 23 including a lens 27 has a bobbin 32 in a cylindrical cap shape wound with a coil 33 and at the outer circumference of the cylindrical part of the bobbin 32, a cylindrical yoke 25a which has cylindrical opposite magnetic poles N and S, and an annular magnet 25b provided to the outside cylindrical magnetic pole N are provided. Then, a focusing error signal is supplied to the coil 33. A rectangular plate-shaped frame 34 is equipped with a coil 35, and in a magnetic circuit composed of magnets 36A-36B, and yokes 26A-26B, it is moved by a tracking signal. Leaf springs 28 and 29 permit moving bodies 23 and 24 to move only in the thickness direction of the leaf springs.
