Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adapt power source control by executing input/output operation of information to a storage, supplying an operation power source from a battery, detecting rotation of a spindle motor and turning on/off power supply. SOLUTION: When access operation of a floppy disk drive is started, and the spindle motor is rotated and driven, magnetic field fluctuation of a Hall element 23 is detected by rotational drive of a magnet 102 on a turntable 101, and a detection signal is obtained. A sensor control part 33 compares it with a threshold level, and outputs a power source control signal SPW, and instructs to turn a main power source on to supply a main power source voltage VMP to a main processor 31, an interface part I/F 34. The main processor 31 reads out the information from a memory element 6 to transfer it to an input/output part 15 through the interface part I/F 34, and a floppy disk drive reads in read- out information from the input./output part 15 by a magnetic head.

SOLUTION: A floppy disk is rotated at a rotational angular velocity ω2 which is faster than a rotational angular velocity ω1 of a conventional floppy disk recording and reproducing (an interval of t2) and the rotational load torque of the disk is increased to conduct a chucking and a centering. If no access is made for longer than a prescribed time, the rotation is stopped and the device is put into a standby condition.

At this time, the cream solder 30 melts to connect the land 22 with the wire 27, and the cream solder 31 melts to flow to its rear side, along the wire 27, and enters between the bent part 27c and the land 24b so as to connect the land 24 with the wire 27.
