    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the center frequency and the selectivity of the filter after selecting a type of a material and a structure of a dielectric block by selecting a length of an input/output electrode in the lengthwise direction of the dielectric block. SOLUTION: An outer face of a dielectric block 10 is covered by a conductive film to be GND electrode 11. Non-throughholes 12 are provided from a back side toward a front side along a lengthwise direction of the block 10 and their inner faces are coated by a conductive film to be center electrodes 13. The center electrodes 13 are connected electrically to the GND electrode 11 at the rear side. An input/output electrode 14 is formed by removing part of the GND electrode 11 on side faces of the block 10 opposite to each other. Then the input/output electrode 14 is extended toward a short-circuit end face S1 and an open end face S2 . Thus, the center frequency of the filter is increased and the selectivity is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a resonator suitable for miniaturization and light weight without changing a resonance frequency and to dispense with a terminal pin for the electrical and mechanical connection of an inner conductive film and a circuit board when the resonator is used as a filter. CONSTITUTION: This resonator is provided with a dielectric block 11 provided with confronting first end face 11a and second end face 11b and in which a through hole 11c is formed in an axial direction, a groove part 12 formed at the intermediate part of the first end face 11a so as to be neighbored to the wall surface of the through hole 11c, the inner conductive film 13 formed on the wall surface of the through hole 11c, a groove part conductive film 14 formed in the groove part 12, and an outer conductive film 15 formed on a boundary part 11d with the groove part 12 in the dielectric block 11 and the outer surface of the dielectric block 11 except for the first end face 11a. The inner conductive film 13, the groove part conductive film 14 and the outer conductive film 15 are connected to each other.
