    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyethylene terephthalate film improved in chipping resistance, scratch resistance, and the easiness of being slit by selecting a film having a specified extrapolated glass transition initiation temperature and a specified birefringence. SOLUTION: A fully dried polyethylene terephthalate stock is fed into an extruder, molten at a temperature at which the polyethylene terephthalate is fully plasticized so as to exhibit flowability, optionally cooled to the state of a supercooled liquid which does not solidify within a short time even if it is further cooled, and extruded onto a rotary metallic casting drum to form an unoriented or slightly oriented film. This is heated to 90-120 deg.C and oriented at a ratio of 1.5-6.5 in the machine direction by means of a group of heating metallic rolls, and oriented at a ratio of 1.5-6.5 in the transverse direction by heating to 90-180 deg.C with a tenter for transverse orientation, and heat-set at 190-230 deg.C to obtain a biaxially-y oriented polyethylene terephthalate film having an extrapolated glass transition initiation temperature of 80-95 deg.C, a birefringence of -0.03 to 0.03, a rigid amorphous region content of 15-45%, a surface orientation coefficient of 0.175-0.195, and a refractive index of 1.480-1.495 (in the direction of thickness).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the tearing properties of a laminate and to solve easy opening properties at a stroke by setting a polyolefin film layer constituting a laminated packing bag to a specific range. SOLUTION: In a laminate consisting of a base layer composed of a biaxially oriented plastic film or a laminate consisting of the biacially oriented plastic film and aluminum foil and a film based on a polypropylene copolymer, the specific gravity of the film based on the polypropylene copolymer is 0.899 or more and the double refraction thereof is 0.0014 or more and this laminate has easy tearing properties in the main axis direction of double refraction.

SOLUTION: A laminated film is formed from a compsn. obtained by compounding 3-20 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic elastomer (c) with 100 pts.wt. of a mixed resin consisting of 50-80wt.% of polyolefin (a) based on a propylene/ ethylene block copolymer with an m.p. of 140-165V and 50-20wt.% of a propylene copolymer (b) with an m.p. of 130-150 deg.C.

CONSTITUTION:A metallized polypropylene composite film is obtained by providing a resin layer of syndiotactic polypropylene or a mixed resin layer of syndiotactic polypropylene and isotactic polypropylene to at least the single surface of a base layer based on polypropylene and laminating a metal layer to the surface of the resin layer.
