    Abstract: A reflecting structure for surface light sources comprising a white film, which is formed of a resin composition essentially consisting of polyester and contains voids inside it and a light stabilizer-containing coating film formed on at least one surface of it, is aged little with time and its brightness lowers little even when used for a long time. The reflecting structure ensures good image quality of display screens for a long time, and it is favorable to reflecting sheets and reflectors in edge light-type and direct back light-type surface light sources for liquid crystal display screens.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an offset printing film excellent in printing sharpness, ink setting properties, color developability, ink adhesion and further transparency. SOLUTION: This offset printing film is produced by providing an ink fixing layer mainly consisting of modified polyvinyl alcohol and colloidal silica on at least one side of a thermoplastic film. The colloidal silica is preferably a silica sol having a pearl necklace-like shape formed by bonding particles having diameters of 5 to 50 nm with one another in a length of 40 to 500 nm or a slender shape having a thickness of 5 to 20 nm and a length of 40 to 500 nm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly weatherable laminated film almost free from the deterioration of whiteness by forming an ultraviolet-absorbing layer on at least one of the faces of a white base material film. SOLUTION: A white base material film is obtained by adding a thermoplastic resin and a noncompatible resin with the thermoplastic resin or a white inorganic pigment and biaxially stretching the mixture after the melting and extrusion thereof. The thermoplastic resin is preferably a polyester resin. In addition, an ultraviolet-absorbing layer is formed on at least one of the faces of the white base material film, and may be of a single layer form or of a multilayer form. This ultraviolet-absorbing layer is obtained by adding any appropriate ultraviolet-absorbing agent, e.g. an ultraviolet-shielding agent of benzotriazole or the like to a resin component such as a thermoplastic, a heat- curable or an active radiation-curable resin or copolymerizing the resin component with the ultraviolet-absorbing agent. Besides, the anchoring process is not particularly specified, provided, however, that it enhance the adhesive properties of a base material with the ultraviolet-absorbing layer.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a weather resistance, transparency and a flaw resistance in the case where a thermoplastic film is used for window glass on an outdoor side, by laminating an ultraviolet-absorbing layer to at least one face of the thermoplastic film and making pencil hardness on the surface provided with the UV-absorbing layer to be at least H. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet-absorbing layer is laminated to at least one face of a thermoplastic film, and pencil hardness on the surface provided with the UV-absorbing layer is made to be at least H. The UV-absorbing layer is obtained by laminating a layer having a suitable UV-absorber e.g. a benzophenone-based, a benzotriazole-based, a triazine-based, a cyanoacrylate- based, an ester salicylate-based, a benzoate-based, an anilide oxalate-based, or an inorganic UV-shielding agent, etc., contained in resin components such as a thermoplastic, a thermosetting and an actinic ray-curable type resin. Further, in order to obtain the desired surface hardness, an actinic ray-curable type acrylic constituent is used. By this method, weatherability, transparency and flaw resistance can be improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve weatherability, transparency, and flaw preventing property by forming a layer A having as a main component a benzotriazole monomer copolymer acrylic resin on at least one face of a thermoplastic film and forming a surface hardening layer B having a pencil hardness H or above on the layer A. SOLUTION: For a benzotriazole monomer, a monomer which has a benzotriazole and an unsaturated double bond can be used without particular restriction. However, a 2-(2,-hydroxy 5,-methacryloxy ethyl phenyl)-2H- benzotriazole is preferable. A copolymer is layered on one face of a base material film as an organic solvent or a moisture dispersing body so as to form a layer A. Also, for a surface hardening layer B, the pencil hardness after layering is preferably H or higher. For the surface hardening layer like this, an acrylic, a urethane, a silicone, etc., is used. Thus, a stable layered film having excellent weatherability and flaw resisting property can be obtained.
