    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce an elastic polyester which is highly viscous and is improved in mechanical properties and heat stability by addition-polymerizing a crystalline aromatic polyester with a lactone compound in the presence of an organotin compound soluble in the lactone compound. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. or below organotin compound soluble in a lactone compound is mixed with 100 pts.wt. lactone compound heated to 100-200 deg.C over a period of 30sec to 1hr to dissolve 0.001-0.5wt.% (in terms of Sn atoms) organotin compound in the lactone compound. 99-20wt.% crystalline polyester is addition-polymerized with 1-80wt.% organotin-containing lactone compound at 210-280 deg.C for 1-30min in the presence of a phosphorus compound, and unpolymerized lactone compound monomer is removed from the mixture in a vacuum of 50Torr or below.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject copolymer composition having respectively improved melting viscosity, hydrolysis resistance and moldability by blending a polyester-polyester block copolymer with an epoxy resin, an organic sulfonate and/or a sulfate salt. CONSTITUTION:With (A) 100 pts.wt. polyester-polyester block copolymer composed of a crystalline aromatic polyester (preferably polybutylene terephthalate) as a hard segment and a polylactone as a soft segment, (B) 0.01-10 pts.wt., preferably 0.1-3 pts.wt. >=monofunctional epoxy compound (preferably >=difunctional) and (C) 0.001-5 pts.wt., preferably 0.005-1 pts.wt. one or mere salts selected from organic sulfonates (preferably sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, etc.) and sulfate ester salts (preferably sodium lauryl sulfate, etc.) are blended, thus obtaining the objective copolymer composition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a resin molded article which has good mold release characteristics and does not have molding defects such as sink marks and warpage, by mixing a specified polyether ester block copolymer with fine particles of polybutylene terephthalate. CONSTITUTION:0.1-10pts.wt. fine polyethylene terephthalate particles having crystallinity of 40% or above and an avergae particle size of 50mu or below are homogeneously mixed with 100pts.wt. polyether ester block copolymer in which terephthalic acid, 1,4-butanediol and a polyoxyalkylene glycol having a number average MW of 300-6,000 such as poly(tetramethylene oxide) glycol are used as essential components and which contains 5-80wt% polyoxyalkylene glycol. The resulting molded article has excellent moldability such that the article has good mold release charcteristics and does not have molding defects such as sink marks and warpage, and molding cycle can be shortened.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the titled highly crystalline fine particles, by dissolving a polybutylene terephthalate polymer in a specified lactam and precipitating the polymer from the solution. CONSTITUTION:A polybutylene terephthalate polymer is dissolved in a lactam represented by formulaI, wherein R is a 1-5C alkyl or H and n is 1-10, and the polymer is precipitated from the solution. In this operation, for example, when the precipitation is carried out at a low cooling rate and high temperature, large spherulitic fine particles are produced, and when the cooling rate is high, small spherulitic crystals are produced.
