    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve an adhesion of a printing layer and antistatic properties by a method wherein a polyester resin film layer having a low melting point is laminated on at least one surface of a crystalline polyester resin film layer containing a specific amount of a sulfonic acid metallic salt derivative, and a printing layer is provided on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene terephthalate containing 0.1-5.0wt.% dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid soda which is a crystalline polyester resin and a copolymer polyester resin which is a low-melting point polyester resin are melted in individual extruding machines. A laminate film in which a low-melting point polyester resin layer 3 is laminated on one surface of a crystalline polyester resin layer 2 is obtained by the extrusion of the melted materials. This laminate film is oriented lengthwise and crosswise. Cellulose printing ink is printed in a predetermined pattern on the side of the low-melting point polyester layer 3 of the biaxially oriented polyester film for forming a printing film 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the welding to a mold and to perform molding within a wide temp. range by laminating specific thermoplastic polyester A to both surfaces of specific thermoplastic polyester B and setting the constitutional thickness ratio (A : B) of the polyester A and the polyester B to a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Polyester A is laminated to both surfaces of polyester B and the m.p. of the polyester A constituting a polyester film must be set to 180 deg.C or higher and it is necessary that DELTATcg defined by the difference (Tcc-Tg) of the cold crystallization temp. (Tcc) and glass transition temp. (Tg) of said polyester is 50 deg.C or lower. DELTATcg of the polyester B must be set to 60 deg.C or higher. It is necessary that the constitutional thickness ration (A : B) of the polyester A and the polyester B is 1 : 80 - 1 : 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily cut manually and to realize straight cutting in the direction of cutting, especially in the longitudinal direction by a method wherein tear propagation resistance in longitudinal direction and tear propagation resistance in the direction normal to the longitudinal direction are specified. CONSTITUTION:Biaxially oriented polyester film concerned is one, the tear propagation resistance alpha(g/mm) in longitudinal direction of which is 400g/mm or less and, at the same time, the tear propagation resistance beta(g/mm) in the direction normal to the longitudinal direction of which has the relationship of beta/alpha>=1.5. In this case, any polyester will do, provided that the film made thereof can be formed and polyethylene terephthalate, polytetramethylene terephthalate, polyethylene-o-oxybenzoate, poly-1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate, polyethylene-2,6-naphthalane dicarboxylate and the like are exampled. Thus, film, which is easily cut and has the direction of cutting in the longitudinal direction of the initial direction of orientation, can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an insulating material for impregnation having sufficiently low swelling characteristics with a single material by constituting of specific poly-4-methylpentene-1. CONSTITUTION:Poly-4 methylpentene-1(PMP) wherein the isotactic index is 93% or more and the melt flow index is 5 to 120g/10min is used. Although a olefin (ethylene, butene, hexene, decene etc.) comonomer other than 4-methyl-1- pentene may be contained, the content is preferably 5mol.% or lower based on PMP for obtaining good electric characteristics and resistance to oil. Thus the obtained material is small in swelling ratio and high in breakdown voltage so that characteristics of low swelling property can be exhibited even if an insulation layer is constituted of a single material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve uniformities of mechanical strengths and a clarified part by partially making an opaque polyolefin film transparent. CONSTITUTION:A sheet or a cylindrical product, obtd. by melt-extruding a blended resin of PP with an intrinsic viscosity of 2dl/g or higher and an isotactic index of 93% or higher and 5-30wt.% polyolefin with a melt crystallization temp. higher than that of PP and of 190 deg.C or higher and a melt flow index of 5g/10min or larger (e.g. 4-methylpentene-1 resin) and cooling and molding it, is cold-drawn 1.05 to 1.5-fold at 110 deg.C or lower and then drawn at least monoaxially at an area drawn ratio of 3 to 100-fold at 120 deg.C or higher and below the m.p. of PP and then quenched to obtain a polyolefin film with a thickness of 5mum or move and with both a part (I) with an optical density of 0.1 or larger and a part (II) with an optical density smaller than that of the part (I) and the ratio of the optical density of the parts (I) to that of the part (II) of 2 or larger.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an oil-immersed electrical insulating material, having a low swelling, excellent in mechanical and electrical properties by laminating a fibrous layer on a specific polypropylene porous layer. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous layer is laminated on at least one surface of a polypropylene porous layer having an average hole diameter of 0.01-2mum, a hole rate of 10-60% and a limiting viscosity of 1.9dl/g or more. This can provide an insulating material for an oil-immersed cable having such suitable properties as a low swelling rate, unlikeliness of cracks at a low temperature, excellent slidability between insulating layers even though several layers are laminated, and low heat resistance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form fine pores having uniform and excellent permeability and high quality by melting and extruding crystalline thermoplastic resin, and crystallizing it by cooling it under pressure between calender rolls. CONSTITUTION:Crystalline resin is melted and extruded from a base 2, and crystallized by cooling under pressure between one set of calender rolls 1 at 40m/min or less of drawing speed to form a film having 5-1,000mum of thickness. The crystalline resin to be subsequently heat treated, elongated and thermally fixed is of thermoplastic resin having a clear crystallization melting point to be observed by a differential calorimeter, which resin preferably includes polyolefins having excellent medicine resistance, acid resistance, alkaline properties in utility. Among them, polyethylene, polypropylene are satisfactory. Such crystallization under pressure contributes to an orientation in a folding camera structure of polymer chain and so-called hard elastic structure.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a microporous polyolefin film having an apparent porosity of the surface layer of the film smaller than the average porosity of the whole layer, having excellent retainability of electrolyte and high stability of electrical characteristics with time and suitable as an electrolyte separator. CONSTITUTION:A polyolefin polymer (preferably polyethylene or polypropylene) is compounded with an organic solid (e.g. phthalic acid ester). The mixture is extruded under melting, the organic solid is extracted with a solvent and the product is drawn with a roll.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title film having fine open cells easily and inexpensively, by melt-extruding a compsn. consisting of PP, a specified polymer and a beta- crystal nucleating agent, molding the extrude into a sheet and orienting it. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. PP (A) having an isotactic index of not lower than 90% and an intrinsic viscosity (in tetralin at 135 deg.C) of 1.5-3.5dl/l is blended with 15-40pts.wt. polymer (B) having a melt crystallization temp. higher than that of the component A (e.g., poly-4-methylpentene-1) and 0.005-5pts.wt. beta- crystal nucleating agent (C) (e.g., quinacridone) to obtain a compsn. the compsn. is melt-extruded at a temp. of not lower than the m.p. of each of the components A and B and cast on a casting drum at 90-120 deg.C to adjust the beta-crystal ratio of an unoriented sheet to 20-80%. The sheet is then oriented at 135-150 deg.C at least in one direction at least 2.25-40 times as wide in terms of an area ratio.
