    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a magnetic recording medium causing no curl and undergoing no dimensional change in long-term use, by combining metallic foil of a paramagnetic body or a diamagnetic body with a plastic film and a thin filmlike ferromagnetic body. CONSTITUTION:A thin film of Co having 0.3mum thickness is continuously formed on one side of biaxially stretched polyethylene terephthalate having 15mum thickness by vapor deposition with electron beams to obtain a thin film type magnetic recording medium A. The medium A is dry laminated on metallic foil of a paramagnetic body or a diamagnetic body having 20mum thickness with the vapor-deposited surface outward by using a urethane adhesive to obtain a flat composite type magnetic recording medium causing no curl. Foil of Al, Cu, Sn, Zn, stainless steel or an alloy thereof is used as the metallic foil, and a platelike body is included. A plastic film is formed from a well-known resin by a known means, and a biaxially stretched polyester film is preferably used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent electrophotographic receptor having good mechanical characteristics of adhesion and flexibility etc., good electrophotographic characteristics without any rise of residual electric potential and lowering of sensitivity, by providing a specific adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive layer consisting of metal or metallic oxide such as Pt, Pd, Au and Ph, etc. is provided on a transparent plastic film such as a biaxially oriented polyester film, etc. to prepare a transparent conductive film. An adhesive layer containing 500-5,000mol.wt. polyester or 5-50wt% polyether of at least one kind on the film. The thickness of said layer is =50mu thickness on said adhesive layer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor with increased electrostatic charge receptivity, charging retentivity, sensitivity and durability by adding metal-free phthalocyanine to a charge generating layer and a carbostyryl deriv. having a specified structure to a charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:A mixed and dispersed soln. consisting of metal-free phthalocyanine, polyester resin and THF or the like is applied to an electrically conductive substrate to form a charge generating layer. A mixed soln. consisting of a carbostyryl deriv. represented by formulaI(where R1 is H, alkyl, phenyl or the like, R2 is H, alkyl or the like, and n is 1 or 2), e.g., the compound of formula II, polycarbonate resin and monochlorobenzene, dichloroethane or the like is then applied to form a charge transferring layer. The resulting electrophotographic receptor has high electrostatic charge receptivity and charging retentivity in the dark and superior characteristics such as high sensitivity and durability.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable an electrophotographic receptor master to be high in light receiving potential and sensitivity, and low in residual voltage, and superior in voltage resistanc and durability, by providing a specified polyether compound layer between a conductive substrate and an Se photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A polyether layer having units represented by the formula, X being SO2, SO or CO, is formed on a conductive substrate by coating a solution of the polyether. On this layer a 3-5mu thick Se or Se-Te photoconductive layer is formed by vapor deposition, thus permitting a photosensitive master for use in high speed plurality copying to be obtained by use of a small amount of Se or Se-Te alloy. A polyether compound containing 40wt% or more polyether units and other ocnstituents may be used for the above polyether in the form of copolymer or blend with other polymer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a colloidal soln. of a W cpd. stable at high concn., effective as a sizing agent for fiber, paper, etc., and contg. the W cpd., a Si cpd. and alkali metal ions or NH4 ions in a predetermined molar ratio. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. of M2WO4 (M; an alkali metal), e.g. Na2WO4 or (NH4)2WO4 is treated by a cation exchange method to remove the alkali metal or NH3. The soln. thus treated in mixed with an alkali silicate such as No.3 water glass, ammonium silicate or a these cpds. forming substance in the following molar ratio to prepare a desired colloidal soln. When each component is turned into WO3, SiO2 and M2O, the molar ratio of them is 4-15:2-5:1, esp. 6-12:2-4:1. The resulting colloidal soln. is effective in many fields as a sizing agent for fiber and paper, raw material for novel catalyst, material for incombustible coating, etc.
