Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition having small voids in molding into films and yarns, excellent slipperiness and shaving resistance, comprising particles subjected to surface treatment with a specific polyester and a thermoplastic polyester. CONSTITUTION:Particles subjected to surface treatment with a polyester which is a polyester comprising a dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component wherein >=60mol% total dicarboxylic acid components of the polyester segment are aromatic dicarboxylic acids and 10-40mol% total dicarboxylic acid components are dicarboxylic acids containing sulfonic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof and a glycol component is an aliphatic or alicyclic glycol, b are blended with a thermoplastic polyester. Calcium carbonate is preferably used as the particles which has preferably 0.1-3mum average particle diameter in the case of aiming a magnetic recording medium.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a polyester composition which can give a molding, such as a film or a fiber, possessing both easy slidability and abrasion resistance, by adding a specified amount of specified silicone rubber particles to a polyester. CONSTITUTION:Silicone rubber particles of a mean particle diameter of 0.01-5mum, having structural units of the formula (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each methyl, ethyl or phenyl, and m:n=5:95-80:20) are prepared. In the production of a polyester (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate), the prepared particles are added to the reaction system to produce a polyester containing 0.005-15wt.% silicone rubber particles. The obtained polyester composition is melt-molded into a film, and this film is biaxially oriented and heat-set to produce a biaxially oriented polyester film excellent in lubricity and chipping resistance and suitable for, e.g., a magnetic tape.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a press-molded film putting the low moisture absorbing properties, dimensional stability, fire retardancy and high frequency characteristics of a thermoplastic resin to practical use and suitably used as an insulating base material excellent in processability as a circuit board such as excellent thermal dimensional stability, solder heat resistance, flatness, heat fusion processability, through-hole processability or the like, and to provide the press-molded film. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing process using a film comprising a thermoplastic resin film such as a polyphenylene sulfide resin or the like and shaping the same by press molding, the thermoplastic resin film is pressed for 5 min - 1 hr in a mold heater to temperature from the melting point Tm of the thermoplastic resin film to 100 deg.C to apply thermal transfer to the thermoplastic resin film. After the mold is cooled to the glass transition temperature Tg of the thermoplastic resin film for 10 min-5 hr, the molded film is released from the mold to form a circuit on the surface of the film.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal resin laminated resin film excellent in interlaminar bonding properties, surface smoothness or the adhesiveness to the surface of a film and low in the anisotropy of characteristics, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal resin laminated resin film is formed by laminating a non-liquid crystal thermoplastic resin layer on at least the single surface of a liquid crystal resin layer and has an interlaminar bonding force of 30N/cm or more or formed by laminating the non-liquid crystal thermoplastic resin layer on at least the single surface of the liquid crystal resin layer and has a relation of TN>=TL between the thermal deformation temperature (TN) of the non-liquid crystal thermoplastic resin layer measured by thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and the thermal deformation temperature (TL) of the liquid crystal resin layer. The liquid crystal resin laminated resin film is obtained by co-extruding the non-liquid crystal thermoplastic resin layer to at least the single surface of the liquid crystal resin layer and subjecting the whole to stretching treatment.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal film which is excellent in thickness uniformity by a method wherein after making a liquid crystal resin layer and a specially polyolefin film into a film by a co-extrusion method, the speciality polyolefin layer is peeled off to manufacture the liquid crystal film. SOLUTION: After making a layer of polyester liquid crystal resin, polyesteramide liquid crystal resin or the like, and a speciality polyolefin resin layer of polypropylene, polymethylpentene or the like into a film by a co- extrusion method in a polymer having, as principal components, an aromatic diol such as biphenol or the like, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid such as terephthalic acid, naphthalene dicarboxylic acid or the like, hydroxy carboxylate such as parahydroxy benzoic acid, hydroxy naphthoic acid or the like, the speciality polyolefin resin layer is peeled off, and a liquid crystal film is manufactured. Thereby, a liquid crystal film which is excellent in thickness uniformity can be obtained.

SOLUTION: After a thermoplastic resin is melted, a molten sheet is emitted from a cap and brought into close contact with a cooling medium to be cooled and solidified to produce a cast sheet. In this case, the molten sheet wherein the melt specific resistance of the resin is 108-1012 Ω.cm is cooled while held between a charge roll and a cooling medium. Further, the cast sheet is stretched and/or heat-treated.
