    Abstract: A transparent shaped article having an enhanced anti-reflective effect is produced by treating with an activated gas the surface of a transparent shaped article having a surface layer containing a finely divided particulate inorganic substance having an average particle size of from about 1 to about 300 milli-microns. If desired, the transparent shaped article treated with the activated gas is coated with a protective coating material.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an anti-reflection optical article which has an excellent anti-reflection property, scratch resistance, impact resistance, flexibility, anti-static property and weatherability, and which is easy to dye. The anti-reflection optical article of the present invention comprises a transparent plastic substrate; a hard coat film formed on a surface of the substrate, the film having an index of refraction of not less than 1.52; and a fluorine-containing organopolysiloxane-based film with a thickness of 10 nm to 500 nm, which has an index of refraction lower than that of the hard coat film by not less than 0.02, and which is formed on the hard coat film.

    Abstract: 66623-194 Disclosed is an all solid type electrochromic display device which comprises first and second conductive layers and sandwiched between them, at least, an electrochromic layer of tungsten oxide and a solid electrolyte layer. The tungsten oxide of the electrochromic layer has an absorption spectrum, as measured by FT-IR, which meets the following formulae (A) and (B): (A) (B) wherein A1400, A1800, A2500, A4000 and A3400 respectively represent the absorbance of 1400cm-1, 1800cm-1, 2500cm-1, 4000cm-1 and 3400cm-1 and A* represents the highest absorbance within a range from 1600cm-1 to 1650cm-1.
